Kurenai pov

I woke up in a small, dimly lit, stone room with one bed and a door with no handle. I groaned as I tried to sit up.

"Where . . . Am I?" I rubbed the back of my head where I was hit. "Ah. How long have I been out?"

"Three days." A voice startled me. The room was just dark enough that I didn't see the girl leaning against the wall in the corner of the room. "You've been lying here for three days. It's been quite boring."

I squinted to see her face but it didn't work until she stepped into the light. "Hinata, why would you do this?" Her eyes narrowed into a glare.

"You left me behind. On purpose. What kind of teacher would leave their own student to fend for themselves?" I didn't know what to say.

"I . . ." I looked down at my hands. "Im sor-"

"YOU'RE SORRY?! THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY TO ME?!" She yelled. "WHY? WHY DID YOU LEAVE?"

"I . . . I dont know." With every word she said, I felt even more guilty. "I just . . . I just thought we needed to regroup." She only scoffed.

"Fine." She walked to the door. "Hey, open up!" She pounded the door twice with her fist. When the door opened, there was another Akatsuki member standing there. He was slightly shorter than Hinata, with a swirling, orange mask covering his face.

"Do you have to yell at me all the time?" He said, dropping his head just a little into what I assumed was a pout.

"I'll stop when you stop being a child." She pushed past him and he shut the door behind them.

"I guess I'll be staying here for a while . . ."

Hinata pov

After I was done talking to her, Tobi and I went to the chamber to continue pulling the 9-tailes out of Naruto. We were getting close, but it will still take at least another week to complete it.

"Hinata." Pain came up behind me. "Remember. You're not used to this much exertion. If you need a break, stop."

"I know, I know. Don't get too exhausted. Blah, blah, blah." I continued walking ahead to the jinchuriki.

Naruto pov

It . . . It hurts. It hurts . . . So . . Much. I can't . . . Move . . . Someone . . . Help me . . . . . Please.

Neji pov

Lady Hinata. I thought while walking home from the mission gate. We were out on a mission when the village was attacked. So she's one of them now.

"Neji!" Tenten an Lee ran up to me. "Where are you going?" She asked with a smile.

"Home." I said without looking at them. "I must train with Lord Hiashi."

"Come on, Neji!" Lee is always so annoying. "Let us bond as a team by running 1,000 laps around the village on our hands!"

Now I stopped to look at them. Then, in the coldest voice I could muster, "No."

"Yeah, Lee. Why don't we just go get something to treat or something."

"Can we at least train on the way there?" Lee whined.

"NO." Tenten and I spoke at the same time.

"Whatever. I'm going home."

"Nope!" Tenten grabbed my sleeve and started pulling me through town. "You're coming with us to go eat something and then you're going to tell us what's going on."

I sighed. "Fine, just stop pulling me already."

She took me and Lee to the Ichiraku Ramen shop and started asking questions.

"What's going on? Why are you so depressy all of a sudden? Come on, Neji, say something!" Tenten spoke without giving me time to breathe.

"Calm down." I said as our food was served. "There is nothing wrong. I'm fine."

"If you say so . . ." Tenten trailed off. I just finished my food, said goodbye, and left to head back to the Hyuga compound.
