Chapter 12 - Days of Sadness

Kurenai pov

By now the other Leaf Shinobi had the beast managed so I left to go find Hinata.

She has to be here somewhere. I searched everywhere. Where is she?

"Kurenai!" Someone yelled behind me. "Kurenai, I didn't know where you were. You weren't at your apartment. Are you ok?"

"I'm just looking for Hinata. The Akatsuki are here so she has to be here too right?" I was panicking by now.

"Well, we'll find her faster if we both look. Tell me where to go."

Naruto pov

The guy who attacked me pulled out some sort of scythe thing but it had three blades after drawing some symbol out of his own blood.

It's like my attacks aren't doing anything! Maybe I should use rasengan. I formed a shadow clone and used it to make my rasengan.

"AAAHHHH! TAAAKE THIIS!!!!" I yelled as I landed a direct hit. "Ha! There's no way he coul-"

"Wow. Quite a powerful jutsu ya got there. That one really hurt."

"Hah-how-wha?" I couldn't even form a real word I was so surprised.

"Oh, how am I alive? It's because I'm immortal." He said it like it was nothing. Then, he threw his scythe at me. I just barely dodged but it cut my arm.

Hidan pov

I got him! Hah! Now he's mine. I walked over to the Jashin symbol and injested his blood. My skin changed to black with white lines that look like bones.

"What is that?" The little brat said.

"This is my curse." I pulled out a spear. "How about we start with your leg?" I then stabbed my left leg.

"Gaaahhh!" His left leg began bleeding and he fell to the ground.

"Doesn't it feel so good?! So . . . Great?!" This was amazing. I got to take down the nine-tailed jinchuriki. Next I took out his other leg.

Now he can't move. Good. Time for some fun.

"Hidan!" I looked over to see Hinata glaring at me again. "Don't. Kill him. We need him. Remember?"

"Yeah, I know. Just focus on your own battle." I replied.

"Tch. I already did idiot." She sounded annoyed. "The only one still fighting is you so finish it up already. I have something else to do so you listen to Sasori now."

"Wait you can't just! Ah she's already gone. "Man, I can't believe she just did that. Fine. I guess I'll finish this." I looked back to the kid. "Oh . . . He's already passed out."

Kurenai pov

With Asuma searching in the west, this will go twice as fast. "Come on, Hinata. Where are you?" I muttered as I ran through the streets of Konoha. "Hinata! Hinata!"

"Kurenai Yuhi." A voice behind me spoke.

I know that voice . . . "Hi-hinata?" I slowly turned around to face her. "You . . . You look so different. So mature." She only glared.

"I'm back." She said as her gaze softened. My eyes watered and I almost started bawling on the spot.

"You're here. You're here. You're really here." I rushed over and hugged her tightly. "I missed you so, so much."

"Me too." Then I was hit in the back of the head and was knocked out.

"Let's go, Hinata." Was the last thing I heard.

Sakura pov

When I woke up, the Akatsuki were gone, along with Naruto. I walked around looking for someone, anyone, when I found Lady Tsunade.

"Lady Tsunade!" She was badly wounded and bleeding out. "Lady Tsunade please wake up!" I began using medical ninjustsu to try and heal her wounds.

"Lady Tsunade!" Three Anbu said as they landed beside me. "We'll take it from here."

"Oh, okay." They picked her up and left.
