The next two weeks of August passed by in a blur. Allegra continued her lessons with Mr. Driscoll, and when she had her last lesson he gave her an assessment and graded it. He assured her she would effortlessly pass her Arithmancy entry exam when she went back to Hogwarts. Two times a week she had gone to the burrow to hang out with Ron, Fred, George, and Harry, but really the whole time was spent practicing Quidditch. At bed time when she finally had her moments of solitude she would pull out Beatrice's journal, cast lumos with her wand, and read it under the covers. Lumos was one of the few spells she had found so far that was not affected by the trace because of its simplicity.

Things between her and her Uncle had become a little...strained. Allegra refused to believe it was because he hated Harry. Hate was a strong word. But picking Harry up in the flying car was certainly a factor. When they got home that night her Uncle had wasted no time in screaming at her for the next half hour about how dangerous, reckless, and stupid what they did was. How they could have been seen by muggles, the car could have broken down, if the Ministry found out they would have been in enormous trouble, etcetera etcetera.

Her Uncle strictly only allowed her to visit the burrow on Tuesdays and Fridays. Allegra knew he didn't want to offend Molly by calling her sons a bad influence, no matter how much he believed it. But the notion wasn't true in the first place. For the most part, Allegra always knew what she was doing and knew the risks. Her choices weren't anyone's fault but her own, and she felt like at times her Uncle refused to believe that and instead blamed influence.

"That blasted owl is damaging the window again," scowled Caspian.

Allegra stood from her seat at the kitchen table and walked over to the window above the sink. She latched it open, and Errol toppled in. She gingerly look the letter from Errol before he fluttered his wings madly and took off.

"Geez, I wonder who's letter than can be from?" Said her Uncle sarcastically. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she opened the envelope.

Dear Allegra,

First of all, you left your spandex in the bathroom and all of us have been too scared to touch it. Second of all, I don't know if Hermione owled you already but we're all planning to go to Diagon Alley next Wednesday to buy our school supplies and were wondering if you could meet us there. Please meet us there. All Harry seems to say is, 'is Allegra coming today?' 'Have you talked to Allegra?' 'I wonder what Allegra is doing?' 'Let's check the newspaper to see if Allegra's in it," 'Allegra likes blueberries too.' You'd think the man was in love with you or something. Anyways, let me know the details as soon as you can.

Love,
Your favorite Weasley

She giggled as she pocketed the letter. When she finished her breakfast she would write her response and send it with her owl Bruno.

"Ron wants to meet up next Wednesday in Diagon Alley to buy school supplies," she stated sitting back down at the table.

Her Uncle peered at her over the rim of his mug before carefully setting it down and answering.
