Nagisa knew something was up once he and the girls returned, Y/N was unconscious and Karma looked as if he was ready to attack Terasuka,

"Well, you don't look too good yourself either Terasuka, either you strained yourself from thinking too hard or you and little miss assassin here are in the same boat." The redhead teased, his voice light but with murder in his eyes,

"Tch, the next assassins probably in the theatre. Sadist 1 and Sadist 2 should skip out, maybe figure out who we're dealing with if she comes to in time" Karma nodded as the others filed in one by one, letting Y/N relax lightly against the wall,

"Here." She felt him slip something into her hand, but her eyesight was so blurry she could barely see what colour,

"What- what is it?" She was almost ashamed of how weak her voice sounded, it was scratchy and hard to understand, not to mention the fact that the lump in her throat made it hard to even get the words out,

"Ibuprofen, or aspirin, it'll probably help the pain, or make it worse"

"Then why would I- mmph!" She was cut off once Karma shoved the pill into her mouth, not roughly, but dry-swallowing pills was not her speciality. It did make her head feel a little better though. He passed her a couple more pills, each one helping a little, until she felt stable enough to move,

"It looks like the private security outside that guys room have just taken their break- wanna look around?"

She didn't know what she expected of him, but she assumed that in a life threatening situation he would at least think about staying on task, but that being said- she did feel like looking around the poor rich pricks room, it was strangely calming.

It was all too easy to slip past the relaxing guards, and as gunshots echoed from the theatre, they crept into what seemed like a villains lair- there was a red button, a suitcase with explosives tied to it, and a man in a supervillain spiny chair laughing manaically,

"Hey, remember when they said the guy who poisoned us was on the top floor?" The H/C girl whispered, "well, I'm pretty sure this is him soo..... task failed successfully?"

"I mean, how many other psychopaths can there be in one hotel?"

"Oh you'd be surprised" she grinned, fatigue still showing on her face, "stay here, I'll be back in a sec"

She crept close to the desk, so close it was a miracle she wasn't seen, and slipped her fingers into the mans pocket, a bluish vial of something, and then crept back to Karma's side, flashing the vial and mouthing the word, 'antidote' but to his surprise she didn't drink it, rather she slipped it into her pocket for later.

Karma was so busy staring at her, wondering if the poison had given her brain damage in some way, that he didn't even notice that the gunshots had disappeared, until he heard Karasuma demand,

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Takaoka!"

"Takaoka?" he asked Y/N, perhaps bringing his lips a little closer to the shell of her ear than necessary,

"Paper-eating guy" she whispered back, which honestly generated more questions than it answered, but there was no time for that, in the time they had been talking, there were now bug red buttons covering the floor, and E class was on it's way to the roof.

"Yo, what's going on?" Karma asked Koro-sensei, taking the bag from Nagisas hands,

"Karma! And Y/N too! I'm so glad to see you two safe, I feared the worst once we were separated!" The octopus wailed, Y/N rolled her eyes,

"Just tell us! Who is that guy anyway?" The pills were rapidly wearing off, and she wanted answers while she was still conscious,

"That man is Takaoka, he took P.E class the day both of you skipped." Karasuma stepped in, Y/N shot him a grateful look, "he challenged Nagisa to a duel and if he lost he would step down as their teacher. Nagisa won by taking him by surprise, and now it seems as if he's back for revenge" at that Koro-sensei dissolved into overly dramatic sobs again, as Y/N sped up to talk to Nagisa,

"Hey, Nagisa," she pulled his sleeve, forcing the blue haired boy to walk a little slower, "you ok? Good, cause this guy isn't going to be taken by surprise again, I hope you have something up your sleeve."

"What do you mean?" He looked a little scared,

"Come on, you know he's gonna be on his guard, the second the fight starts you're gonna get the shit beaten out of you, so-"

"Y/N" he cut her off with a smile- how could he be so calm?!, "I'll be fine- I don't have to fight him, all I need to do is kill him."

She released his sleeve as if she had been electrocuted. In that second she had sensed the type of fear she had only gotten from one person. She wondered just when he had grown so alike to her old teacher, but there was no mistaking it: the barely concealed bloodlust, the madness, writhing beneath the surface, be it a snake, or a scythe, it was always there, ready to strike, and in that moment, she couldn't move, from the inexplicable realisation that although she could do the same- this boy could kill her at any moment, irony really was a beautiful thing sometimes. She left Nagisa to himself, trying to calm her heart which had lept up and seemed to have taken up residence in her throat.

"Tch, why do ya look so scared? didn't you notice how good he was getting at this killing stuff?"

"Terasuka, good timing, take this" she shoved the antidote into his hands, he seemed a little taken aback at first,

"Huh? Why the fuck are you giving this to me? What even is it?"

"Its an antidote, you drink it." Her balance was starting to sway again, she didn't have time to argue with the meathead- why couldn't people just realise what was good for them?!

'She doesn't trust us', well, this was her trusting him, this was her giving him a chance, this was her saving his life and he just looked at her like she had deposited a dead frog into his hands,

"You take it."
.
.
.
Huh? 'Oh hell no, this isn't how the game is played Terasuka, you don't take my show of good faith and turn it around on ME! either take the antidote and drink it, or don't and die, don't twist this around!'

"No." She firmly placed it back in his palm and closed his fingers around it, "you wanted me to trust you, didn't you?" she looked out to where Nagisa and Takaoka were squaring off, and at the bright glowing of Nagisas eyes, that chilled her to the core, "he's not himself right now, and unbelievable as it may be, you're going to need to bring him back before he loses himself completely, now just-"

An explosion. All the remaining vials were gone. Y/N felt her knees begin to give out, and she saw Terasuka fall to the floor. She needed to act quickly, she knelt beside him, grabbing his chin with one hand and pouring the antidote in with the other. She didn't know what happened next. She remembered screaming, electricity, and helicopters, she remembered the assassins leaving, Karma holding her upright, and a boy rushing forward with light blonde hair, just long enough to brush his shoulders,

'Harvey'. She thought, before passing out for the final time
