Of all the things Y/N expected Koro-sensei to pull in his attempt to reconcile with his former student, a summer festival was pretty far down on the list, but whatever. she had been stuck inside ever since Corey realised she had gone outside, and she would have set herself on fire if it meant she could have a single conversation with someone from the outside, assassins were good at a lot of things, but taking care of sick people was not one of them, most of them got stuck between treating her as if she was totally fine and getting scolded by Harvey, or treating her like a small child, which carried its own risks, she was as ready to escape as she ever would be

making her way downstairs, she was almost bowled over by the sobbing Lacy, who hid behind her as someone else banged into walls, their head stuck in a fish costume,

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU LITTLE SHIT!" well, the mystery of who was in the fish costume had been solved, Y/N slipped past Mai quietly and made her way down the last few floors on the empty elevator shaft, avoiding Corey would be crucial if she wanted to get out-

"and where do you think you're going? you're still in no condition to be walking around. we let it slide the other day, but still" shit. she was so used to only having to avoid Corey she had completely forgotten that Harvey wasn't going to let her out either. luckily, it seemed as though he had just gotten back from a Starbucks, as he had a latte with whipped cream in his hand, no doubt he had already uploaded a million pictures of it to his Instagram, now she just had to figure out how to twist that to her advantage. grabbing the coffee, she skipped back to where Mai was floundering around and threw the coffee on the ground. as the reverse mermaid slipped, the costume came off, and seeing no one in sight but the coffee cup, she came to a logical- yet incorrect conclusion,

"HARVEY!!! YOU'RE SO DEAD!!" rather than facing his imminent demise, Harvey chose to run, leaving Y/N with the freedom to get out.

walking through the streets, it felt like she had been cooped up for so long, right now all she wanted was to cartwheel around the streets, but attracting attention wasn't too high on her list either,

"Y/N!" Kayano and Nakamura waved at her so frantically, she was surprised they hadn't toppled over yet, running to greet them she was nearly bowled over herself by the tackle hug Kayano gave her,

"Kaede! Rio!" she grinned at them, "How was the rest of the trip! sorry I couldn't stay, something came up."

Nakamura snorted, "Yeah, like your lunch. the trip was fine, but Koro-Sensei put us through this lame test of courage, trying to scare us into hooking up"

"man, I wish I saw that- did it work?"

"Nah, but we did try to set up Professor Bitch with Mr Karasuma."
"... did that work?"

"Kayano giggled, "No, Mr Karasuma's as dense as a rock."

"Aw c'mon, he cant be more dense than Professor Bitch is obvious... can he?"

one look at their grim faces told her all she needed to know, "Well, enough about boys, lets see what the festival's like right now.

the festival was basically like the union on a good day, but with a lot more stressed adults. Hayami and Chiba walked around dejectedly, with more shooting gallery prizes than Y/N had ever seen in her life, she had just paid for a stick of candy floss larger than her face when she felt someone's arms slip around her waist, for a second there she debated, if she judo flipped whoever was behind her, it would solve the potential problem of if it was some strange old man. however, in doing so she would probably drop the candy floss, and it had been realllllyyyyy expensive. she was ready to say fuck it and pull a knife on whoever was behind her until a familiar voice whispered in her ear,
