the island part three

As Okuda and Takebayashi stayed behind to care for the sick, the rest of E class prepared for the fight ahead, whilst checking that he had his mustard and wasabi on him, Karma was pulled aside by Okuda,

"Karma, I shouldn't be telling you this but-"

"Okuda, I really have to focus on getting-" as he tried to pull away, she grabbed his arm,

"It's about Y/N!" That got his attention. He turned around, showing that he was listening,

"Well, Fuwa said that we all probably got poisoned by the drinks, right? Well, Y/N and Rio mainly ate and drank the same things, so..." she trailed off, not needing to elaborate any further, merely shifting her gaze to where Nakamura lay, her face bright red from the fever, with ragged breaths the only confirmation that she was still breathing, "Y/N said I shouldn't tell anyone, she doesn't think the poison will kick in for a while, and it might be nothing, but... just look out for her, ok?"

She stared intently at the ground, expecting him to tease her for being so worried, to tell her there was no point in getting stressed, to crack a smile and talk about how he could use this to his advantage. But he just stood there, then he nodded, with a serious expression, then turned around and walked away.

Timeskip

They had reached a wall. Quite literally. The cliff imposed on them, high, ominous, and very unclimbable, Ritsu had confirmed that this was the only way to avoid detection, but it seemed impossible, to say the least, of course, that didn't stop Y/N,

"Come on! I climb seven stories daily, this is nothing compared to clinging to a rope, pulling yourself up little by little while some furball digs its claws into you." Karma scoffed at that, jumping up and beginning to climb as well, purely to remain taller than her,

"Stop lying, Corey told me about the secret lift" he smirked at her as she scrambled a little higher, easily keeping pace with her,

"He did huh? Well did he mention that it can only be used after watching a compilation of scenes from finding Nemo or Dory? Because I would honestly rather risk breaking my arms and legs than go through that. It should be illegal under the geneva convention." She shuddered, but was forced to quit her theatrics when her handheld crumbled, making them both look down and realise that they were already halfway up, instead of telling Karasuma, who was still debating whether or not to go a different route, they carried on with their conversation five metres in the air,

"It probably is," Karma replied, finding a stable ledge to rest on for a moment, "that thing bans everything fun, yet another reason to abolish it." He heard Y/N laugh at that,

"Yeah, they do ban all the fun stuff, biochemical warfare, triple bladed knives, poison bullets." She grinned at him, "really takes the fun out of killing people for money."

"Yeah, it's not a war crime if it's legal!"

"Umm, uh, please tell me you two are joking?" They both looked down to find that the rest of E class had followed their example, meaning Nagisa had caught the last part of their conversation, "you are joking..... right?"

Y/N grinned again, baring a striking resemblance to the Cheshire cat, "partially." And with that she hauled herself over the edge, coming to stand at the back entrance of the hotel a few seconds before the redhead, and so winning their unspoken competition, she ducked behind a railing, staying out of sight with Karma as the class ran through the layout if the building, once they had decided on their strategy she smiled,

"Alright, let's go find an antidote, and hopefully violate a multitude of laws along the way!" And with that she skipped inside, leaving the others to wonder how she could be so nonchalant about a situation like this
