The next morning Gracie had woken up in her bed in the Gryffindor side of the castle. Unaware of how she had gotten there in the first place. 'Wasn't I just with Regulus?' Gracie wondered as she got dressed for the day. As she entered Slughorns classroom on time, she couldn't help but to ask Regulus what had happened last night. "Good morning." Regulus says cheerfully. "Morning." Gracie smiles back. "Hey say, what happened yesterday? Wasn't I with you by the wallow tree by the Black Lake?" Gracie asked curiously. Regulus smirked. "Hmm have you been having weird dreams about me McKinnon?" Gracie widens her eyes. "What?" She asked quickly. Regulus laughs " I'm just kidding, you fell asleep last night on my shoulder. Once it started getting dark I picked you up and settled you done on your bed. Nothing much." He responded. "Ohhh okay. How's you manage to get inside the Gryffindor common room?" Gracie asked. "This might seem wrong, but I had to do what I had to do. I used a freshie to go inside and to tuck you in carefully." Regulus smiled. "What? Why couldn't you just get Marlene to put me in?" Gracie asked in a hushed tone. "Because there's a chance that she might've told Sirius about us hanging out! And that wouldn't be good." Regulus says in defense. Gracie furrers her eyebrows. "Why wouldn't that be good?" She asked seriously. Regulus looked at her for awhile.
"Because slytherins and Gryffindors aren't meant to be friends." Regulus replies carefully. Gracie scoffs then replies with "Yes I know that but I made sure to ask you if you knew that. That's why I hesitated about being friends with you!" Regulus looks at Gracie with widen eyes about her sudden outburst.

"Woah Gracie calmed down. I was only joking, it wouldn't be so bad about other people finding out that we're friends." Regulus responds with a quiet tone. Gracie shakes her head. "You regret being friends with me." She says quietly in a realization.
Regulus gives off widen eyes and scrunches his face before saying "What no of course not! Look calm down." Regulus attempts to calm the blonde girl down, but only fails. She shakes her head, as tears began to well into her eyes. "I too think that it was a mistake of us being friends." Gracie says after awhile. "What?" Regulus responds with a sad look in his eye. Gracie shakes her head even more, "Youre wrong about slytherins not being able to be friends with any Gryffindor. It shouldn't matter what house a person is before considering to be their friends. I hope that you'll began to realize that before it's too late." She says as she sat back down as class is beginning to start. The youngest McKinnon had ignored the youngest Black family member that sits right besides her the whole day.

As Gracie sits in the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall, she couldn't help but to feel so depressive due to the current events that occurred in the early morning. "Why must you keep having that frown plastered on your face. It's not very pleasing to see, no offense." Tatum says as he chews on his chicken wing. Emaline pushes a Tatum slightly for him to stop talking. Em looks back to Gracie with a sympathetic expression "I can't help but to agree with Tatum, what is wrong with you?" Emaline asks worriedly. Gracie slumps even further, "Oh I don't know, I guess I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Gracie replies quietly. "That is not true! You were just fine this morning, it was until we got out of potions class. Not tell me this instant what happened?" Emaline asks impatiently.

Gracie rolls her eyes, "It's nothing Em, there really nothing for you to be worrying about!". "Are you sure? Does this have anything to do with Regulus Black?" Tatum asks. Gracie rolls her eyes once more, "No it does not have to do with anything about Regulus." She responds sternly. Emaline and Tatum give each other a trouble look, before going back onto their sad friend. "It's okay if it is about him. We do not judge you on who you like. It doesn't matter what house they're in, or what gender they are, we just care if you're happy in the end, and clearly you aren't so if we have to beat him up." Emaline starts. Gracie chuckles slightly. "Emaline it's okay really. He just told me that he didn't want to be friend anymore that all. Nothing too much since I've got you two!" She says happily. Emaline smiles. "Well good, and both me and Tatum are happy to have you as a friend. We couldn't have asked for anyone else!" Emaline responds with the same happy tone as Gracie.

This brought Gracie sad facial expression to finally be rigged with a happy smile. As the three of them talk off some more (mostly Emaline and Tatum). Minutes passed, Gracies mood had been uplifted, Emaline and Tatum were sharing some experience and opinions about the muggle world.

Gracie had been avoiding making eye contact with the youngest Black boy, but this didn't stop him from keeping his intense stare onto her back. This made Gracie feel tense, but Regulus only felt guilt. He felt bad for what he had said, he didn't really mean those words. Regulus wanted to be her friend, maybe even more than that. He couldn't take any more of this, he wasn't even paying attention to the words of what was coming out of Snape's mouth. Regulus had an urge to do something.

Regulus had gotten up, walked over to the Gryffindor table with his head held high. Gracie had still managed to ignore eye contact with the boy. She didn't even acknowledge him. "Can we talk?" Regulus whispered in her ear. Emaline and Tatum stare at the two, before they had gotten back into they're conversation. Gracie still ignored him. "Gracie please." He pleaded. Still no answer. "O'Hará?" Gracie eyes swelled with tears.
