With announcements in mind we had all sat down in our dorm to do a live, for the first time. We had set the phone up on a table and sat down with four in the backrow and four in the front. In the back we had, from left to right; me Jungwon, Sunghoon, Niki. Meaning that in the front row we had, from left to right; Sunoo, Jay, Heeseung and Jake.
We were all happily talking to Engene as Sunoo sat with the tablet in hand to watch the comments. The boys in the front row were all laughing about Jake not wording a sentence right and giving it another meaning, by accident. I couldn't exactly laugh it off, as I wasn't quite sure what mistake he had made, however my grin immediately dropped when I felt a small shake underneath me.
This sudden motion had made me quickly reach my hand out to grab Jungwon's hand, but as he were using them to gesture out something I had grabbed his knee making him immediately turn to me.
"Didn't you feel that?" I questioned him lowly, to not make it too clear for the camera.
"Fell what?" he frowned at me.
"The ground... it shook," I pointed out to him.
"It's probably just a small shake, Ji," he waved it off before turning back to the other boys.
"I don't like this," I muttered as the ground let out a small shake once again, and I immediately grabbed tightly onto his knee once again as he turned to me with a small laugh.
"It's fine Ji. Don't worry," he assured me with a wide grin, "nothing's happening."
"Am I the only one going insane then?" I questioned him, a bit more loudly than intended, making the boys all look to me, "do none of you feel the ground shake?"
"No," Sunoo shook his head in reply.
"Is there an earthquake?" Heeseung questioned making me slightly widen my eyes, making Jungwon quickly grab my hand.
"Look it's fine... it's all calm," he assured me, as if on cue the ground decided to go very much against him and shake even more.
The boys all quickly seemed to scatter about and before I even had a chance to react I had been dragged to a doorway, where I quickly pulled my knees up to my chest and looked straight at my knees. I must've been visibly shaking in fear, as I felt the person who had dragged me over wrap one arm around my shoulders, and grab one of my enclosed fists with his hand. He was sitting in front of me, on the other side of the doorway, but must've crouched down by me instead.
I was somewhere near crying in fear. I had never experienced an earthquake before, we don't have ones in Denmark where I come from. I didn't even listen to the boys talking to each other over the shaking.
"Hey... hey... Ji," Jungwon cooed right beside my ear, he must've been the one dragging me here, "please answer me, you're worrying me."
"Sorry," I quivered silently making him let out a breath.
"Don't worry... everything is fine. We're in a doorway, so is Sunghoon and Niki. The others are under the table with the phone informing the fans what is happening and that everything is alright," he quickly told me.
It felt like an eternity until the shakings ceased and I carefully lifted my head up from my knees and looked around. The boys all looked at each other in shock.
"No one moves out from their spot yet. There's gonna be after shakes," Jay warned.
"What?" I muttered and Jungwon quickly turned my head to look at him.
"Don't worry. that was probably the strongest, the others wont be that bad," he assured me and I just widened my eyes.
"I can't do more," I shook my head at him and he quickly moved over and leaned his back against the doorway behind him.
"Come here," he urged and opened his arms, "before it begins shaking again. I'll protect you."
"No," I shook my head making him let out a small laugh.
"Ji... you're scared. There's not gonna fall any debris if that was the worst," he assured me with a small smile.
I hesitantly and slowly moved over between his legs and leaned my back up against his chest as he securely wrapped his arms around me and I pulled my legs up to my chest.
"Are you alright bubs?" Sunghoon called out to me.
"I wanna go home," I yelled back to him earning a few light laughs from the boys.
"Can you say a goodbye to Engenes?" Sunoo questioned and I looked over to him pointing the phone at us.
"Bye?" I questioned him making him let out a small laugh before the ground began shaking again, making me let out a small squeal.
I closed my eyes tightly and pulled my knees more up to Jungwon's warms, around my waist. My hands instinctively grabbed onto Jungwon's arms tightly, as he just tightened his grip on me.
"Just breathe, it's gonna be fine," Jungwon silently whispered to me as I just nodded my head.
Today I realized something new. I was not cut out for earthquakes, and they scared the living crap out of me.
