It had been a year since our very first awardshow and here we were once again, finally experiencing the real way awardshows were held, since there had been a mass vaccination towards the pandemic. It had been all excited for the boys and I to experience an actual awardshow, however... I had been asked to perform with three other female idols, Karina of Aespa, Lia of Itzy and Olivia Hye of Loona.
We had all had quite a lot of fun with preparing the performance, the performance had been planned for us beforehand and we were to perform 'Good Luck' by AOA, with a little twist added to it.
I had gotten ready out in the dressing room I shared with the boys, but they were all sitting in the audience at the moment, waiting to go out to get changed until we had reached our performance a bit more. There were a camera with me however as my stylist were getting me prepared.
"I'm a bit nervous," I admitted to the camera, "the fans haven't seen me like this before, let alone the boys," I commented as I fumbled with my hands and looked down at myself. I looked like I belonged in a girl group, which I for the performance was, "I actually don't feel uncomfortable in my outfit, even though it looks like a leotard," I commented and touched the feathers on my outfit before looking up at the camera, "I'm excited... but I think... I think Heeseung and Jay oppa will take me out to a talk after the show."
I walked down backstage and gathered with the other girls who were dressed in their own individual outfits as well. We all were quickly given a pep-talk by Olivia, as she had been debuted for the longest, before we heard our performance being introduced to stage.
"Now we will let the momentary group '4th girls' get up on stage and perform their cover of 'Good Luck' originally by AOA," the hot announced and the girls and I all quickly adjusted our earpieces and got our hand microphones handed, "the group consists of Olivia Hye known from Loona, Lia known from Itzy, Karina known from Aespa and Jiyeon known from Enhypen."
As the stage fell dark I walked up and got into position with our backup dancers. I sat down across on my chair and listened as the performance began. Up till my part all I could think about was how much I was gonna get scolded once I got back to the boys. But as my part came up I pushed those thoughts aside and just performed.

As the performance ended I ran a hand through my hair as there were applause ringing out in the venue, a refreshing feeling compared to last year. I looked over at Lia who stood across from me and we both grinned at one another before the stage went dark and we rushed down once again.
We quickly handed over the microphones and our earpieces and micpacks before scattering. I quickly located my Enter Key camera and rushed over to it, my hands visibly shaking as we walked down the hallways to our dressing room.
"Ah, I'm so scared to return to the boys," I admitted as I tried to calm my hands down, "I'll go in and get changed back to my suit now, and then I'll go back to the boys," I told the camera and closed the door in front of it, before quickly getting changed into my suit.
I quickly returned to the hallway where the camera were waiting for me. I happily waved at it and ran a hand through my hair again as I walked out to the venue and to the round table where the boys were sitting. I silently pulled out my empty chair that stood between Niki and Jake. I carefully grabbed my water bottle and took a slurp as Niki leaned over to me.
"You can rap?" he questioned in surprise and I scrunched up my face with a small shrug.
"I didn't exactly have a choice," I pointed out to him and he nodded.
"It was so cool," he cooed at me making me softly smile at him.
"Thank you," I smiled at him.
There were an awkward silence at our table for the rest of the night and until we got out into the van to go back to the dorm.
"I think tonight were great," Niki happily spoke up, "we had a great performance, won an award, and noona looked good on stage."
"About that performance..." Heeseung started, here it came I can just feel it, "you're barely 18 Jiyeon."
"I know," I nodded at him and acted all casual.
"You're gonna get majorly sexualized now. The exact thing the company have tried to avoid," he pointed out and I nodded.
"Yeah... when I were performing with you boys. The concept were to show the skills of the 4th generation girl idols. For those four minutes I performed as a girl idol Jiyeon, not as Enhypen member Jiyeon," I pointed out to him and he nodded.
"Matter of the fact is that there's gonna be a lot of malicious comments about all four of you, you're the only one underage and that's why it's concerning to us," Jay summed up to me.
"So what if people does that? I should be allowed to perform however and whatever I like, if people decide to sexualize me and come with malicious comments it's not my problem, it's theirs. It's their problem if they can't watch a performance like that without thinking up some crazy fantasies," I defended making it go silent, "I liked that performance," I muttered in silence before sulking in my seat, "the least you could've done were to tell me it was okay."
"I liked the performance," Jungwon spoke up and I glanced over at him.
"You're just saying that because I'm sulking," I muttered to him and he just shook his head at me.
"I really mean it," he assured me.
"He's serious Jiyeon, he was staring with a wide mouth the whole time, and muttering about how great it was," Sunoo spoke up and I looked over to him.
"Well, we all liked it. We're just concerned," Heeseung clarified smiling softly over at me, making me hum before turning to look back out the window for the rest of the wide home.
