During the theme song test, Into the I-land, Jiyeon was in the ground and had to send in a video everyday of her improvement.
She was later moved to I-land along with Kim Sunoo, EJ, Minji, Dahee and Yuri. However Minji was pulled from the competition the next day after an episode had been aired where she had bad-mouthed YG, and was personally picked up by the manager of the female trainees in YG. It was later revealed that Minji had not only been pulled from the competition but also been kicked out of her company.
To replace Minji the next Grounder on the list was moved up, and Taki joined the I-landers in their preparation for Fire.
