Finishing yet another promotion for 'Drunk-Dazed' we all got back down to the waiting room. I quietly pulled my hairstyle out so my hair just hung down, and pulled off all the excessive layers of shirts I wore, so I was left in the white turtle neck I wore as my base.
"Yah! Choi Jiyeon!" Heeseung's loud voice snapped me out of my daze and I immediately looked to him in shock, "were you even listening?"
"What?" I muttered in confusion as he just sighed and waved me over to the rest of the boys.
I mindlessly trailed over to the boys and stood in the small group as our manager explained who was seated in one car. Jake, Sunghoon, Niki and Heeseung was in one, meanwhile I was in the car with Jay, Sunoo and Jungwon.
"Are you good?" Jungwon trailed after me as I went back to pack further down in my bag and take off the jewelry I had worn for the stage, "you seem off."
"I just... I really can't manage all those cameras out there right now," I sighe and ran my hand through my hair, "I just can't. I don't have the energy to act like nothing right now."
"Woah... hey... look at me," he quickly grabbed my shoulders before looking down at my hands, "stop picking," he sighed and removed my right hand from pinching the back of my left. Something I hadn't even noticed I was doing, "hey... look at me," he urged and I looked to him, "I know it's your anxiety taking over right now. So here's what we're going to do... We're going out of here together and you hold closely onto me, and I'll try and shield you from as many camera as possible, got it?"
"Yeah," I muttered and zipped up my bag.
"Jay hyung," Jungwon turned around and called over Jay before quickly explaining what was happening for him.
"You sure you don't want me to go with you?" Jay softly questioned and grabbed onto my arm and I just nodded at him, "are you sure?"
"I'll take care of her," Jungwon nodded and threw his bag over his shoulder before urging me to do the same with my bag, "you go before us, we'll come when she is ready."
"Okay..." Jay quietly nodded before rushing over and getting Sunoo before they both walked outside.
"Now..." Jungwon sighed and placed my mask on my face and pulled it up over my nose, carefully adjusting it, "are you ready or do you need to gather yourself first?"
"Let's just go," I sighed making him immediately shake his head.
"We need to make sure you're good to go, we can't have you getting an anxiety attack in front of the press," he reminded and I just sighed before nodding in agreement.
"I can do it," I simply nodded.
Jungwon simply nodded before following me out to the door we had to exit through. Already by the door I could hear all the clicks of the cameras as Sunghoon and Jake passed through before us.
"Let's go..." I muttered and pulled Jungwon with me to the door.
Jungwon opened the door and walked out with his arm wrapped around my shoulders as I desperately tried to hide behind him. The whole way Jungwon held tightly onto my shoulders and would pull me even closer to him when the clicks of the cameras had intensified.
Once we were by the door Jungwon made sure I got in before he did and closed the door behind him. Jay and sunoo already sat in the car waiting for us.
"Everything good?" Jay quickly questioned and I nodded as I let out a deep breath and pulled off my mask.
"Leader Yang is the best," Jungwon excused with a small smile, "saves the day."
"See now I see why she classifies Jungwon as her number one bestie and me as number two. I would've not have handled that well," Sunoo commented as I let out a small smile at him.
"You're better at other things, but Wonie is best at calming my anxiety," I excused as I slumped down in my seat.
"I'll let the other boys know you're alright," Jay assured and got out his phone.
