MV Theory |

Unlike the theory that initially went around with the Up version teasers, with Jiyeon being the one who brought the boys to the place they are in between life and death, it seemed that the theory that people got out of the Drunk-Dazed theory was VERY unlike the one that initially was made.

Now the theory went a little bit in the other direction...

It was clear to all fans that Jiyeon and the boys obviously already know each other in the universe they're in, by the fact that they waited on the bus together, wore the same uniform, was in the same "home" as the boys in the Given-Taken music video. So instead the theory now goes:

It is clear that Jiyeon had some sort of close relation to one of the boys, mainly Engenes theorize between Sunoo and Jungwon after the Drunk-Dazed music video. Whereas Jiyeon and Jungwon don't seem to have any connection in the music video it still seems suspicious that it is him that leaves the invitation behind, it is his birthday cake (supposedly). But the theory also leans a lot to Sunoo by the way Jiyeon sneaked after him when he went to go away from the party.

The way Jiyeon was invited to the party and seemed to be a misfit shows, according to fans, that she is not like the others that is in the party. She is the "odd" one out, so why invite her? This is where the connection to Jungwon really comes in. If it is his birthday party, as it seems, then it must mean he wanted her to be there. Which must also mean he is the one that wants her to join them on the verge between life and death that they're balancing.

Another theory also goes that the boys all were vampires back in the Given-Taken music video and that Jiyeon was the only human. She died in the forrest that was shown in their debut trailers and now have been reincarnated, the boys have found her again and this time they're determined to keep her around with them, living for an eternity like they will. Which is why Jungwon invited her to his birthday party, so they would have a chance to turn her into a vampire, so she can join them.

The room that Jiyeon walks into when following after Sunoo is either a symbol of how the boys can't get her to follow them to the other side or how she unconsiously is drawn into the desire of staying alive forever.

The part on the platform is supposed to signify the changing of Jiyeon. Sunoo dropping the blood into the fountain, making it overflow could be a symbol that he was either the one who arranged the whole ordeal with getting Jiyeon changed or he was the one who actually bit her to get her changed.

The small sequence between Sunghoon dancing, Sunoo sitting by the overflowing fountain and Jiyeon bleeding down her arm could mean that something is going on between the three. Sunoo might feel satisfied by Jiyeon's turning, resulting him him enjoying the overflow of blood in the fountain, meanwhile Sunghoon is not happy with her changing meaning his is showering in blood to signify that he feels like he's sinned when he agreed to work towards her getting changed.

In the end when Jiyeon abruptly sits up by a doorbell ringing and a girl standing outside the house shows that Jiyeon is trapped in a time loop. A time loop in which she time and time again will meet the boys throught different time ages and lives, all in which the boys chase after getting her changed, and even when they succeed they're pushed back to square one, where she dies and are reincarnated only for them to try and get her changed successfully again.
