"Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land," Harry read out from the paper, "none is more deadly than the Basilisk." Leo's face scrunched up. "Basilisk?" He asked, "What is that?" Harry quieted the boy as he continued to read the paper. "Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it." Harry looks up at his two friends. "This is it. The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a basilisk. That's why I can hear it speak. It's a snake."

"But if it kills by looking people directly in the eye, why is it no one's dead?" Ron asked Harry, Leo pointing to him as if he had a point. Harry thought for a moment before answering. "Because no one did look it in the eye. Not exactly, at least." He answered before walking down the corridor, his friends following. "What are you trying to say?" Leo asked as Harry looked towards him. "Colin saw it through his camera. Justin must have seen the Basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick. Nick got the full blast of it, but he's a ghost. He can't die again. Hermione had her mirror."

"And Mrs Norris? I'm pretty sure she didn't have a camera or a mirror." Ron asked, not convinced. "Leaving Mrs Norris to see the Basilisk through the water on the floor!" Leo answered, catching on as Harry smiled at him. Harry looked at the paper again and jogged away towards a small fire, Ron and Leo following. "Spiders flee before it. It all fits." Harry spoke, Ron speaking again. "How's the Basilisk been getting around? A great dirty snake, someone would have seen it." The ginger asked, Harry showing his friends the paper.

"Hermione's answered that too." Leo read the word 'pipes' at the bottom of the paper, gulping slightly. "Pipes?! It uses the plumbing?!" Ron exclaimed, Harry speaking again. "Remember what Aragog said about that girl 50 years ago? How she was discovered in a bathroom? What if she never left?" Leo looked at the two, astonished. "Moaning Myrtle" Harry nodded as McGonagall's voice filled the halls.

"All students are to return to their house dormitries at once. All teachers to the second floor corridor immediately."

"As you can see," McGonagall started, "The heir of Slytherin has left another message." She told the group of teachers, not noticing the three boys hidden around the corner. "Our worst fear has been realised. A student has been taken by the monster into the Chamber itself." Leo's eyebrows raised in worry for whoever it was. "The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts." McGonagall spoke again, Harry and Leo looking at each other immediately.

"So sorry, dozed off." Lockhart walked to the group, Leo scowling at him. "What did I miss?" Lockhart asked, Snape speaking up. "A girl's been snatched by the monster. Your moment's come at last." He drawled, Lockhart stuttering. "My moment?" He asked, Snape recalling the moment that he said he's always known where the Chamber of Secrets is. Leo's face scrunched up in confusion, surely Lockhart doesn't know. Lockhart was speechless until McGonagall spoke up.

"It's settled then. We'll leave you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy." Leo smiled as Lockhart didn't know what's going on. "Your skills, after all, are legend." McGonagall wore a small smile as she spoke to the man, his facade put on again. "Very well. I'll be in my office getting... getting ready." With that, Lockhart walked away, Madame Pomfrey turning to McGonagall. "Who is it that the monster's taken, Minerva?" She asked, the three boys leaning in curiously.

"Ginny Weasley."

"Sirius!" Bellatrix's voice rang through the man's ears for the 50th time today. "Sirius! Sirius! Sirius!" She conrinued to shout as Sirius finally answered, sitting up quickly. "What?!" He shouted, Bellatrix laughing at him slightly. "Have you completed our little escape plan yet?" She asked, batting her eyelashes. "What do you mean 'our'?" Was the first thing Sirius asked as he clearly remembers denying the crazy woman's offer to keep him company.
