Nervousness struck Indigo to the core, it was just a phone call, but chatting over text is easier than actually speaking to someone; face to face or not. She shoved the anxious butterflies in her stomach away and forced herself to answer.

Well he wasn't lying about his voice

"Hey bunny". He greeted sweetly, making the same butterflies flutter a little harder. She was never big on any of the nicknames she was given, especially since she likes her real name, but something about the way he said it made her reconsider.

"Hey Corpse".

Her heart pounded through her chest. She wasn't good with people, and her crippling fear of saying something stupid was not making it any easier.

"I like your voice".

"That's ironic".

"and why's that?"

"No reason, I just like yours better". She smiled, though her cheeks burned pink with  embarrassment, she meant what she said.

"Seems like you're starting to like me".

"I can't like someone I don't know".
