part 9 A walk in the garden

Lili's POV
Once we left prince Cole soon followed after, without the girls. I had a confused look on my face. Are they ok? Where are they? "They're okay, they have just been eliminated" Emma said as if she read my mind. Then the king and queen entered.

Everyone started to stand, so I just copied them. Then people started curtsying. So I did too. This was the new normal? "hello girls we are so happy to have you here. You may sit" the queen said as the king nodded them both smiling.

Once we were seated food started being brought out. I was amazed. This is what they eat everyday! Wow! They brought out eggs, bacon, fruit, waffles, pancakes, and even crepes! Once they sat it down on the trays. Maids came asking what we want, so they could go get it for us.

I ordered bacon, fruit, and a crepe since I didn't want to be the odd one out eating all the food. They brought out the food and it was delicious. I had a few conversations with Emma, but other than that I was quiet.

Once breakfast was over I went back to my room to think. How had I not been eliminated!? Just then there was a knock at the door. "Come in" I said not wanting to get up just then the door opened and in walked the prince.

I almost jumped. What is he doing here! I then got up and curtsied. "What brings you here? Is everything okay?" I asked nervously. He chuckled "everything's fine I just came to ask if you would want to take a walk in the garden with me" he said nervously.

Why the heck was he nervous! "of course let me just change my shoes you can sit on the bed if you would like" I said as I headed to the closet for some flats. Once I put them on I headed out. To see the prince sitting on the bed twirling his hair. I giggled.

He jumped and looked at me, then laughed. "Sorry you scared me" he said looking down as he walked over to me "I just wasn't expecting the prince to be twirling his hair" I said as we shared as laugh and walked to the garden. "So lady lili, tell me about yourself." He said while we walked down the halls to the garden.

"Well first please call me lili, and um I guess well I have two sisters, we are all very close, and then I only have my mom, I have never met my dad." I said as he nodded in a understanding way. "I'm sorry" he said placing his hand on my back making me feel something. Sometimes I never felt before. It was like my stomach twisted.

"For what" I said confused "your dad" he said confused too I then laughed "oh it's nothing to be sorry about, I haven't even met him, and I not sure if I want to now" I said smiling as he looked relieved. He let out a breath chuckling "thank god, I am absolutely horrible at comforting people, especially girls"

He said as I laughed "well guess I will teach you, maybe just like give them a hug, and tell them it's ok" I said smiling he nodded "lili?" He said nervously "ya" I said worried "do you still have feelings for the guy that cheated on you" he said quietly, almost mumbling,

"um, well I don't know, i would definitely never date him again, but I still like him a little bit, but not as much as I used to" I explained looking down as he looked a little disappointed and nodded. "I understand" he said a little hint of disappointment in his voice.

"hey that doesn't mean it will always be like that" I said feeling really guilty. He nodded his face looking a little less sad than before. "I am sorry, I am just new to this whole thing, and I don't know how to handle myself" prince Cole said looking into my eyes with a calming smile.

It's like something switched in me. I suddenly understood him. How hard it must be for him. I looked in his eyes and smiled "it's nothing to be ashamed of" I said as he smiled "thanks lili" he said pulling me into a hug "anytime! whenever you need to talk to someone I am here" I said relaxed in his embrace

"same goes to you" he said as we pulled back "sorry for the change of topic but any girls you have interest in" I said excitedly he chuckled "well I mean all of you guys are beautiful, but no I don't think from those talks anyone besides you caught my attention" he said

I had a confused look on my face. He was interested in me? Oh my gosh that's why he was so sad! Oh shit lili pull yourself together. I giggled "well any boys your interested in?" He said a smirk on his face "your the only boy here silly" I said laughing as he did too.

We then stopped laughing when we heard a alarm going off. Prince Cole had an annoyed look in his face. "Follow me" he said in a annoyed/ sad voice "what do these  alarms mean" I said confused. Before he stepped on a brick and a secret door opened.

What in the hell! He then pulled me inside before shutting the door behind us. "These alarms mean there are rebels here on attack" he said like it was nothing. We were on attack?! "oh" Is all I said, as we made our way down this really long stairway which I had no idea where it led to. But while we were walking he explained what and who these attacks were.

Soon enough the stairway ended to a door, which Cole quickly opened and pulled me inside. All the other girls were already here including the king and queen. "We got em, there here!" I heard a guard say as one Ashley called me over. "Thank god your okay, we were really worried!" Emma said as she hugged me.

Ashley then led us to some seats we were told to sit in. I sat next to Emma and emery. We didn't really talk I just sat there in shock. Like seriously what the hell is going on. We are being attacked and no one is scared?! I looked across the room to see if anyone else is scared.

It looked like Madi, Claire, and tatum had tears in there eyes, and only rachel was crying. But we could all tell it was fake. But of course Cole was also there trying to comfort her. I don't know why but that made me mad.

We sat there for two hours before they finally let us out. When we got out, they were broken windows holes in the walls, and lights glitching, the place felt haunted.

I finally got back to my room, to see my maids cleaning up the room. "Thank god you guys are okay!" I said going up to hug them. "We're all fine, it wasn't a horrible attack" they said. Not a horrible attack! Did they mean there were ones worse then this!

"wait there are ones worse then this" I asked confused they all nodded. "it's ok you are safe, anyways it's lunch time so you need to head down there" Mary said smiling. As I nodded and headed down for lunch.
