The year someone turns 18 they have the opportunity to be injected with a serum that will produce a soulmate mark somewhere on their body. This serum is costly and the procedure to get the injection is not covered by insurance.
A rare illness cropp...
He takes my hand in his and strokes the back of it with the other. "I'm glad you did further research. I already feel like I put a wedge between us unintentionally in the beginning, and I am thankful that you had no hesitancy about me. If you had truly continued to think that my personality might be like that it would have probably put even more strain on our relationship in the beginning."
I nod. "Well, still. Forgive me for that moment of misunderstanding."
He shakes his head. "There is truly nothing to forgive."
I mentally debate with myself about what to do conversationally and realize all the things I came up with don't really seem to fit Jin like they might some of the others. But then I also remember the standard deck of cards I constantly carry with me wherever I go. That standard deck of cards now had a sibling I had purchased when I realized that playing Halli Galli with a regular deck of cards didn't work quite as well as playing with a deck made specifically for the game in question. I open my purse and pull out the box. "Did you want to play Halli Galli on our way to our destination?"
"Hm. I don't think it will play out the same with only two people." He frowns. "We would have to edit the rules some."
"No one is out if they ring the bell and there aren't 5 fruits on the playing field?" I suggest.
He nods. "We just continue playing until we arrive at our destination. If we run out of cards we simply start over."
I nod and realize an easy way to fit in a conversation to the game. "Everytime one of us rakes in a win we can ask the other any question we want. But the question has to be answered honestly by the other."
He smiles at that. "Makes me wonder just how many secrets I might learn about you, Princess."
I arch an eyebrow at him in turn. "You may be good at this game. But, I'm definitely no slouch at card games myself."
He nods. "True. But your game is that Popcorn game you introduced us to. Mine is Halli Galli."
I try to keep the frown from my face, because he is most definitely right about that. But I don't really mind him asking me any questions. I doubt anything he can ask me will truly worry me.
Of course the first hand raked in is his. "Who is your celebrity crush? And you can't say the seven of us. That's cheating."
I have to think about it because honestly I don't watch too much when it comes to newer movies therefore most of my celebrity crushes are older than me. "I'd like to know more about Ezra Miller. He's been in the spinoff series to Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts. But because I don't really know him very well I guess he can't really be considered a male celebrity crush; only a curiosity I suppose"

I pause and consider again. "I loved Nicholas Hoult as R in Warm Bodies, and Hank, or Beast, in the X-men prequel movies."
