The year someone turns 18 they have the opportunity to be injected with a serum that will produce a soulmate mark somewhere on their body. This serum is costly and the procedure to get the injection is not covered by insurance.
A rare illness cropp...
"Not much I'm afraid. All the information the bartender had used when obtaining the job was falsified. The owner didn't even bother to look into the references she had on file. Here it states that he simply needed staff and blindly hired her due to her stellar cited credentials. They are hypothesizing that the cell phone number she provided was for a burner phone that she must have purchased specifically for the job." He shifts his papers around. "It looks like they also tried to triangulate a signal from said phone and came up empty. Once again they are hypothesizing that the phone in question was probably dismantled."
None of this news set Namjoon's mind at ease. If anything it made him all the more uncomfortable. "I guess my next question is why we were at that club in the first place. I've asked this before but all I received was partial answers. Now that my soulmate has been threatened in this matter I demand to know the reasoning."
Park Jiwon clears his throat. "I'm afraid that I'm at fault for the suggestion. My son told me about the opening and in light of your discovered soulmate I honestly thought it would be good PR to have your group attend together."
Namjoon covertly clenches his teeth together. Park Jiwon is new to the job, technically his title hasn't even been announced, and he is already being approved of suggestions such as this one. "How old is your son? How did he know about the opening?"
"Oh, he's twenty. I believe he learned about it from a friend."
Namjoon schools himself to keep from pinching the bridge of his nose as the onslaught threat of a headache begins brewing. A headache stemmed from the stupidity of this choice and action. "Can I ask then, regarding future public appearances, that you discuss them with me-- No, I'm sorry. That you discuss them with us first rather than dictate them as a requirement. We would like to have a say, and if not a say at least a discussion so we understand the necessity of our presence." Namjoon forms his requests as statements rather than questions on purpose. He emphatically never wants to see the potential of something like this ever happening again.
Si-Hyuk Bang nods. "I won't let this be a problem. We will be sure to include you in the future on decisions like this poor one that was made. None of us wish your soulmate ill, and we are greatly distressed that something like this happened. I wanted to assure you that we also will handle any media issues from that night if any should arise. I'm sure because it has been silent thus far however, that it will continue to be silent, and that actually won't be another additional worry. Was there anything else you would like to discuss, Kim-nim?"
"Yes, you said this club outing was for good PR. Well, I'd like to propose another suggestion for the same reasoning. I'd like to request the consideration for the next Bon Voyage trip to be made in the near future. Only, because this will be the first trip with Daisy, I would like to make it something a bit different. Something a bit extra."
"Anything specific you had in mind?" Si-Hyuk Bang doesn't look happy. But, he doesn't look distressed either. He has put on his closed off expression. The one telling him he will consider the idea, but he probably needs some time for deliberation.
"Not yet. I wanted to bring it up for discussion with the group sometime tonight. But, I do have a specific event in mind." He quickly explains what all the members have been specially planning for Daisy. "I think it would be the perfect time to proceed forward with it. I think getting it on tape would definitely be the kind of positive PR you were hoping for."
