"Saan ba tayo pupunta?" Piniringan niya si Madelaine sa mata sa buong byahe nila.

"Andito na tayo." Naramdaman ng dalaga na ihininto na niya ang kotse.

"Ooops!" Nahuli niya agad ang dalaga na sisilip sana mula sa mga piring niya.

"Bawal! Ako magtatanggal niyan. Wait lang!" Bumaba siya ng kotse saka pinagbukas ng pintuan si Madelaine.

Inakay niya ito pababa na sinisiguradong hindi ito nakakasilip mula sa piring niya.

"Kailangan talaga may piring ako?" Nagsimula silang bumaba sa isang hagdan at naamoy na agad ng dalaga ang simoy ng dagat.

Ganun din ng tumapak na sila sa may buhanginan, alam na niya na nasa beachside sila.

"Nasa beach tayo noh? Ano to? Magna-night swimming tayo? Hindi mo man lang sinabi, wala akong dalang damit." Reklamo nito kay Gian na hindi siya pinapansin.

Alas singko na ng hapon nang sabihan siya ni Gian na susunduin siya nito. Halos trenta minutos din silang bumiyahe at wala siyang kaalam-alam na sa dagat pala siya dadalhin nito.

"Uy Dok G! Wala akong dalang damit. Balik tayo sa bahay." Pero hindi pa rin siya pinansin ng binata.

"Dok G! Balik tayo, kainis ka naman eh! Sana sinabi mo na sa beach tayo pupunta." Hila niya sa manggas ng t-shirt nito.

"Swimming lang ba ang pwedeng gawin sa beach? Wala din akong dalang damit, chill ka lang." Sinagot din siya nito.

She can hear the percussion of the waves as they approach the seashore. The humming sound of the birds nearby and the salty air that completes the serenity of the ocean.

"Happy 30th Day!" Sabi niya saka tinanggal ang piring ni Madelaine.

Soft sky above that is changing it's color to yellow from orange as the sun start to set in. The small white pebbles that lined the white beach and the clear water beneath it. She can also see the vast of turquoise waves that extend in the endless horizon.

From where she was standing, there was a tent, a block of woods, blanket, cooler and a guitar.

It may be a thirty day contract but her heart always end up thumping like crazy.

"This is your dream date diba? Beach, sunset, bonfire camping and a guy with a guitar." Nakangiting sabi sa kanya ng binata.

"I saw it from your instagram. Pero matagal na yon eh. Three years ago ba? Basta nakita ko yung post mo. Hindi ko alam kung nagaya ko ba yung set up don sa picture na pinost mo. All I know is, dito yon sa Batangas. I really search the place, dito yon. Ito yung beach na yon sa post mo. Nakita ko, malapit lang sa inyo eh. Kaya naisip ko, bakit hindi natin gawin dito yung last date natin. Save the best for last, diba? Tara!" Hinawakan niya ito sa kamay at inakay na umupo sa nakalatag na blanket sa harap ng tent.
