"Goodmorning Architect Manansala"
As I was walking here in our firm, people greeted me with a smile. I gave them a small smile too and head to my office.
"Kaye," tawag ko saaking sekretary and gestured her to go inside my office. Umupo ako sa swiveling chair ko at nakinig ng schedule ko for today.
I turned on my laptop and typed something for our meeting later as I was listening to her and somehow reviewing my notes for the meeting.
Multi-tasking.
"You also have a meeting with Dr. Silvestre, the president of Philippine Central Hospital, today at 2PM to discuss about our new project regarding the new building of the hospital"
Napatigil ako sa kakatype sa laptop ko pero hindi tumingin sa kanya. Dr. Silvestre? The side of my lips rose and I shook my head, that must be his father.
"That's all, ma'am." Tapos na si Kaye sa pagsabi kung ano ang mga agenda ko for today. I said 'thank you' and gestured her to leave.
As soon as she leave the room, I look at my clock, it's 7 in the morning. So I only have 7 hours to prepare for my meeting with the PCH. I walked to my body mirror and looked at my attire.
I'm wearing a dark blue culotte jumpsuit with black cape blazer partnered with my mules shoes that have little inch of heels on it.
Kung pupunta ako sa hospital nila, pwede ko siya makita dun or not. I never seen of him since last 10 years ago, specifically since our breakup. Last thing I knew about him is that he graduated at Oxford University as one of the top students there.
Well, that was his plan.
Pero ano bang pake ko kung magkita kami at tinitignan ko pa yung damit ko? It's not like I'm gonna impress him, sino ba siya? Ex lang naman siya. At kahit ano pang isoot ko, ex pa rin ang tingin niya saakin at ex pa rin ang tingin ko sakanya.
"Ayoko na siyang makita" sabi ko sa sarili ko habang nakatingin sa salamin.
Wala naman point na magkita pa kami eh! May closure na kami, nagbreak na kami, okay na yun! Tama na yun! There's no point on crossing our paths again! And it been fucking 10 years! Malamang may bago na yun, baka nga may sarili ng pamilya yun eh.
Paminsan napapaisip ako kung hindi ba talaga sakanya yung dinadala ni Tiana. Pero madalas naiisip ko rin na wala na dapat akong pake doon at dapat mas ituon ko na yung sarili ko sa sarili ko
