"good morning momma" Ellianna says once i wake up
"good morning baby how did you sleep"
"very good i love sleeping in your bed. ooo look it's hayden" she turns around and kisses his forehead
he yawns and wakes up
"mmm good morning"
"you sleep good" she asks
"yes i did, did you"
"mhm Hayden i love you"
"aw Ellie i love you too"
"do you have a girlfriend that i can meet"
"no sadly i don't. girls think i'm a bad boy and don't want to date me"
"but you're not a bad boy you're a good boy"
"i know! but it's because of one thing i did"
"that's no fair. well i love you and i know you're not a bad boy at all"
"thank you Ellie i love you too"
i smile at them talking and i have them get out of bed
"come on guys we have to pick up Rae" i tell them
"wait we need to wake up Jordan, and Zach, and his boyfriend, and little baby Hunter! we're not ready momma"
"well then it's your mission to get them up!"

"are we almost there?" Jordan asks
"yes only like 15 minutes"
"YAY I MISS RAE"
we all laugh and soon after we've arrived at the school where we were to pick them up
"do you guys want to come?" i ask and they all say yes so we all leave
i call the school and tell them that i'm here for her and they tell me that i have to come inside because they have to talk about something
i have no idea what they have to talk about so i'm scared
i tell the kids that i have to go in and i take Hunter with me
"hi i'm here for Rae" i tell the lady that's there and she nods
"hi i'm her guidance counselor and there was an incident on the trip that we wanted to discuss with you"
"oh is she okay?"
"yes let's just go in here and talk about it. just to let you know she's not in trouble she did nothing wrong"
we go to some room and Rae's sitting in the chair
"hi mom" she says looking at me
"hi are you okay" i ask and she nods
"okay so during the field trip we had a campfire and there were groups of a few kids doing it together so it was safe. well Rae was in a group with her two friends and these three boys. during it we saw her run away from the fire crying and her friend followed her. so we asked what happened and apparently one of the boys was her ex boyfriend and he said some mean things"
"what did he say?" i ask
"i'm not su-"
"he talked about my biological dad and what he did to me... he also talked about dad and him dying." she says looking down and i grab her hand
"what did he say about that?" i ask her
"we were going back and forth just joking. then he said something how we broke up because he didn't want to be with someone who goes through dads like they're a book. it hurt already but he kept going"
"what else did he say?"
"he said how my biological dad didn't want me and didn't care so he did what he did and then he talked about dad dying"
"we're really sorry we didn't know that that's what he said"
"its okay it's probably just harder since today is the year anniversary of him dying"
"oh i'm sorry for your loss. we've told the boys parents that he made her cry and they are very sorry. we are going to talk to him when they're back at school"
"okay thank you. are we okay to go"
"yes. again i'm sorry"
we leave the room and walk towards the car
she gets in the car and everyone says hi
"why is she sad?" hayden whispers to me
"i'll talk about it when we get home"
