Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 39

"Looks like we're going to go see Wicked." Calum said turning over the two tickets and I squeal immediately crashing into his arms and enveloping him into a tight hug.  "Holy shit you're being serious right?" I ask and he nods and says "I figured you might as well see a Broadway show while you're here, and I know you love Wicked...." 

"Holy shit!" I squeal jumping up and down giddily and Calum then said "And surprisingly enough I got some pretty good seats considering how last minute I did this.  And we better leave Ashton and Sylvana so that we can actually get there on time." He grabbed my hand and I waved to Ashton and Sylvana as Calum suddenly walked straight over to a limo.  "Uh Cal?" I say and Calum grins and says "I also might've wanted you to go in style....."

I laugh as I give Calum a peck and say "How am I ever gonna pay you back for all this?" "Well you could always give me a blowjob or something when we get back...."  I swat Calum's arm and he smirks and then says "I'm kidding.  It's my treat for you."  I smile as he opens the door to the limo and says "Ladies first...."  I grin and give him a quick peck before saying "Why thank you."

We finally arrived outside the theatre and I grinned, sitting close to the window to look at the beauty of it all.  I felt like pressing my face up against the glass entirely, just to see the lights and feel like a kid again.  Calum suddenly shuffles over to me and puts his chin on my shoulder and I can't even say anything because I'm so taken aback by the wonder of it all.

"You ready?" Calum asked as he gave my shoulder a kiss and I smiled and said "Yeah.  Let's go."

The show was wonderful and we were seated a couple rows from the front of the stage.  My jaw dropped when I saw how close we were.  "Are you serious?" I ask and he smiles at me and says "I wasn't kidding when I said it was my treat.  I wanted you to enjoy the show." 

When the show was over, which was absolutely fantastic, we went back to the hotel and I took off my heels, holding them in my hand.  As the elevator went up to our floor, Calum came and wrapped his arms around me from behind, holding me tightly.  "I can't thank you enough for this." I said to him and as the elevator dings, it opens up and I see that it's Luke and Skyler.

"Hey!" they say simultaneously and hop into the elevator.  "You guys are under us right?" I say as I click the 29th floor button.  We had stopped on the 16th floor.  Why was that?  "Why were you guys on this floor?" I ask and Skyler, who's out of breath then says "Well we were playing a bit of tag.  Hopefully none of the guests got too annoyed...." 

I smile at them and then Luke asks "How was the show?" "It was amazing!  Honestly I loved it." I said as Calum then says "Plus we had some good food at the restaurant with Ash and Sylvana."  Finally we arrive at their floor and Luke and Skyler go off and Luke then says "Get some rest yeah?  We got some interviews tomorrow anyways!" "Ok." Calum says as the doors shut again, and not long after we're at our floor.

We get off and it's obvious that Calum's absolutely exhausted.  "You need to head to bed." I say ruffling his hair a little and he pulls out the key card as we go into our room.  Calum then starts blabbering, "Well I wanted to make this night special and everything I mean I wanted to just keep you happy and I figured I could get some champagne and-" "Cal you've done enough.  Honestly nothing would make me happier than to be able to sleep beside you anyways." I cut him off as we go inside.

Calum groans a little and he flops onto the bed and I sit beside him, his head in my lap as I twirl a lock of his raven hair inbetween my fingers.  "Just go have a bath or something.  It'll relax you." I say quietly and Calum has his eyes closed as he hums a little before suddenly saying "Should I get another tattoo?" "Course.  Depending on what it is though...." I say.
