Skyler's POV
"Hi" Luke waves as I spot Michael, Ashton, and Calum standing near the check in line, with several black bags "Hey" I whisper a lump forming in my throat as I wrap my arms around Luke.
"We'll see you guys soon" I her Ashton whisper pulling Natalie into what looks like a bone crushing hug. "Four weeks" Luke smiles holding out his pinky, I giggle linking mine with his. "After exams." I nod and he kisses me quickly.
"Alright Lucas share the Skyler with us you're not the only one saying good bye" Michael announces pulling me into a hug then Ashton and Calum. "I love you all" I sigh as they walk off in the direction of the terminal. We watch them leave and I wipe a tear from my eye "I am so sick of saying good bye" Natalie whispers and I throw my arm around her "Let's go."
"Alright class so here is your exam schedule" Miss Gloria smiles passing out papers, I groan tapping my pencil onto the table. "Can you maybe not do that?" I hear Brandon's annoying voice question. I turn around and stick my tongue out at him.
God these tests make me irritable "Real mature" he whispers making me snort, before going back to tapping my pen. "So I hope you are all studying every night for at least an hour" I look up at the blackboard and smirk to myself shaking my head slightly as I copy down the note.
"Natalie I quit!" I yell walking out of the school "Don't say that Sky we are literally almost done" Nat encourages I groan bumping into her slightly as we begin to walk home "I hate it, I hate it, hate it!" I whine and Natalie chuckles "so I'm guessing you haven't applied to any colleges?" "Fuck that" I pout "So uh have you talked to Calum" I ask nervously, I see Natalie tense as we continue to walk.
"Nope" she replies dryly popping the 'p' "Nat you can't ignore him forever" "Yes I can and I will" she says stubbornly "Nat" "Look I really don't want to talk about this right now so can we just drop it?" "Ok" I agree and we walk in silence for the rest of the way. "Mom?" I yell unlocking the door.
"Nat's here" "Natalie!" my mom yells running down the stairs "How are you darling?" she smiles wrapping her arm around her "Fine" "You and I both know that's not true!" she grins tapping her nose. "Mom!" I groan "Sorry, sorry!" she says putting her arms up defensively
"I'm cool, I know what's going on!" she laughs grabbing a beer from the fridge and kissing the top of my head "got some paper work to do, I'll see you guys later." "You're coming to Cali right Nat?" I say breaking the silence and beginning to boil some water
"I guess so, there's orientation happening like a week later so it seems kind of pointless……" she mumbles "This sucks" I confess "I wish you were way more excited!" I confess Natalie shrugs "yeah well" "Nat you can't really believe this is it for you guys." I push bringing it up again, Natalie bites her lip
"I guess it was." she shrugs obviously getting annoyed I sigh throwing the pasta into the pot. "Can you pass me my laptop?" I question stirring the pot with a wooden spoon. Natalie nods grabbing it out of my backpack and a book. I leave the pasta boiling and log into my twitter, blushing at the new HD pictures of us at the airport pinky promising.

I read, a faint blush on my cheeks "What are you reading?" Natalie smirks "Nothing" I blush trying to hide my screen "Skyler let me see!" "No, no!" I say sternly shaking my head Natalie glares at me reaching for the laptop. I squeal picking it up defensively.
"No" I say again as Natalie begins to chase me around, I squeal running around the counter "you'll never catch me" I giggle climbing onto the table and holding the laptop over my head "Skyler I don't think you realize how short you are" Natalie comments "oh my god shut up!" I pout.
Natalie's POV
I smirked as I grabbed the laptop from Sky's hands and I looked at the laptop. "Is Luke already sending you nudes?" I asked Skyler winking. She blushed and said "Of course not!"
I then looked at the screen to actually see what was going on. I saw it was Twitter, and the trend #Suke5ever had began to trend worldwide. I saw countless comments, about how cute Luke and Skyler were and on and on and on.
I was so happy for Skyler because I knew that Luke had been extremely worried about Skyler receiving hate. But instead she had gotten loved by everyone. I just hoped that maybe if Calum had done the same thing that maybe it had ended the same way.
I swallowed and then said "Wow you got a lot of....um....admirers." I bit my lip as I gave it back to her. "Natalie I....I um....." "It's ok, really. Anyways shouldn't we focus more on the erm, food?" "Right!" Skyler said turning back around to the stove.
It was a couple days later, as I began to type my notes for exam studying. I sighed as I looked over my textbook, trying to figure out how to explain the complicated paragraphs into a simpler version.
I ran a hand through my hair as I sighed, biting my lip. Suddenly my phone began vibrating beside my book on the desk. I looked over to see it was Skyler, texting me to come over. I told her later.
I continued to work before my mom tapped on my door. "Natalie?" she said as she walked in with a couple envelopes. "What is it mum?" I said leaning back in the chair. She smiled at me and said "I may have something special for you."
She put a white envelope on my desk. I looked to see that it was a letter. From the University of Southern California. I felt my heart speed up. Oh my god. I swallowed as I looked at the envelope and turned it over and opened it gently. Finally I got to what I needed to read, as my hand shook.
Dear Miss Lane,
We are pleased to inform you that we are thoroughly impressed by your reports, and by your resume. We are also pleased to inform you that we would be happy to have you as a student at the University of Southern California.
I screamed. "I did it!" I shrieked as I hugged my mother in a tight hug and I stopped the hug before jumping around and saying "I GOT ACCEPTED!!" My mom smiled and she said "I'm so proud of you Natalie." I looked to my mom before hugging her tightly and saying "I love you so much."
I immediately called Skyler. Skyler then began to ramble "Finally you call me up! So when do you wanna come over? I mean I get that you're studying and all...." "Skyler." I said, giddy about the news. "But ya know you can take a quick break and then actually I think we both have shifts tonight from about five till ten...." "Skyler!" I said cutting her off.
"WHAT." she asked before I squeaked "I got accepted." "What? Where?" "Guess." "Australian National University?" she guessed before I said "Nope. But I can tell you it's in somewhere warm and sunny." "No way." she said before I squealed "YES."
"YOU GOT INTO UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!" she screamed before I said "California here we come!"
