Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 18

Skyler's POV 

Nat and I begin to explore the house Michael deciding the only proper way to break this place in is to play a good old game of hide and seek while we wait for Chinese food.  It doesn't go well.  Ashton tries to steal my hiding spot and ends up blowing both of our covers by giggling the whole time, Luke and I catch Natalie and Calum hiding in the coat closet pressed against each other.  

"Glad you two are getting along" we chuckle closing the door and leaving them there.  And I get my foot stuck behind a cupboard which Luke thinks is hilarious and since the only thing found in this god damn house is vegemite, Michael decides the reasonable thing to do it to "Lubricate my foot with vegemite" needless to say by the time the food showed up we were all starving. 

"My foot smells disgusting!" I complain attempting to smell my foot "Ey!" Calum whines.  "Wanna smell?" I smirk wiggling my toes, Calum groans pushing my foot down.  "I'm trying to eat" he states his mouth filled with mu shu pork. 

I stick my tongue out at him standing up and walking into the open kitchen and filling my plate.  "Sky we should call our folks." Natalie informs me.  "Oh shit, right yeah." I agree running my fingers through my hair, Luke laughs at me.  

"What?" I ask innocently making him wrap his arms around my waist. "I thought that was my nervous tell." he smirks.  I realize what I'm doing and pull my hand away.  "This is your fault you dick." I pout Luke sighs pushing my side bands behind my ear.

"I think it's cute." he assures me kissing my forehead softly.  I blush "I gotta call my mom." I turn to the couches where everyone is currently staring at us. "Oh shut up!" I say walking up the stairs I grab my phone and call my mom.  She answers on the second ring and we talk for only four minutes because she has her next client meeting scheduled in ten. 

When I join the others again they're all still eating but Michael and Luke had there guitars out and were playing what sounded like a McFly song. "Oh hey Sky you're back!" Ash smiles "We were thinking of doing some house shopping!" "Like proper adults!" "We're going to be so domestic!" they all add excitedly.

"How are you guys not jet lagged?" I question.  "I've learned to embrace it." Calum shrugs I groan.  "So where are you gonna go?" I question.  "There's a plaza nearby." Ashton informs me.  "We need food." Michael says we all laugh.

"No seriously cups are great and everything but food!" "We should get frozen pizzas!" Natalie claps "Yes Nat!" Michael responds kissing the top of head. "I have never seen you so excited!" I laugh as Michael begins to dance around. 

"Can we go later? I am seriously pass out." Michael freezes on the spot sticking out his bottom lip. "Why don't you guys go and I'll stay here with Sky?" Luke prompts "Oh." "Oh." "Oh." "Oh." They say like those annoying seagulls in Finding Nemo. 

"Nat how are you not exhausted!" I ask truly amazed she shrugs. "Not sure maybe I was a world traveler in another life." I snort "Alright I'm going to go to sleep." "It's not a good idea." Michael warns I stick my middle finger up at him as I trudge up the stairs. "Love you guys." I yawn. 

"Michael's right you know, it's not idea to sleep." Luke informs me walking into me and Nat's new room. "Then entertain me?" I say half consciously moving over in my bunk. Luke climbs in his legs barely fitting "The first time we did the flight I was so exhausted I threw my phone at Michael when he asked me what I was going to do later." I giggle turning around in the bunk so that we where facing each other.

"How is Nat not tired?" I whisper "I have this theory that she's an alien." he whispers back "Trust me that's not a theory, I can confirm that it's true" "Oh god that means Calum's in love with an alien!" I bite my lip realizing what he had just said.
