Chapter 13

Skyler's POV

"Alright you have two hours on the clock, begin." our advisor stated beginning to pace around the room.  I sigh looking down at my final exam. 15 pages separate me and summer, I tell myself, writing my name on the top of the page.  I scan through the test and catch Natalie's eye as she has a confident smile on her face as she flips through her test. "15 pages" I whisper attempting to answer the first question.  

The bell rings and we all run out of the school "We did it Nat!" I smile pulling her into a hug.  "We really did it!" I laugh hysterically.  "Fuck all of you!" I scream waving my middle finger in the air at the school. Natalie chuckles pulling my hand down.  "Let's go!" "Let's never come back!" 

I sigh skipping off toward the Glob. Natalie laughs running after me, and I get half way there before a stop skipping. "Natalie, Nat, Nat!" I smile slapping her arm "What?" "We're going to Cali!" I laugh jumping around "Oh my god you are so hyper." I wrap my arms around Nat and place a kiss on her cheek.

"Indeed" I say patting her head  "Oh wait, shit we should call the boys!" I say tying to grab my phone out of Natalie's backpack, I pull it out and click on Luke's contact putting it on loud speaker. "Hey, Michael's here" Luke answer's obviously half asleep. 

"1….2….3"  I mouth "We're done!" Natalie and I yell into the phone dancing around the pavement. "Oh my god." Michael whines "Do you know what time it is here?" "Yeah, like 11pm yesterday?" Michael groans and we can hear footsteps that make Luke laugh.

"So we'll be seeing you soon then yeah?" "Yup right after graduation we'll be flying out." Natalie agrees "I almost wish you guys where graduating with us." I confess holding the phone between us I hear someone snort in the background. 

"I'd be that guy who wore nothing underneath the gown." Michael comments "Gross!" Natalie laughs "You guys should get to sleep, I'll talk to you tomorrow love you." I say quickly hanging up the phone. Natalie raises her eyebrows at me at I stick my tongue out "Shut up, shut up, absolutely shut up!" I sing grabbing her hand and once again running towards the Glob. 

When we get there drinks are automatically shoved into our hands "Hey no serving to minors!" The owner called "I'm 18" I lie throwing my arm up at him, he laughs going back to checking out whatever 12 year was at the cash. Natalie and I cheers before downing the cup of beer. 

"Hi!" that cute boy from Brandon's party waved from across the room. "Natalie." I smile elbowing her side she glares at me "What he's cute, and obviously interested!" I encouraged her looking back at him. 

Natalie blushes coughing "It'd be pointless" she shrugs "True, but it'd also be fun." I point out.  She hesitates a little.  "Oh come on live a little!" I wink motioning for him to come over. "Alright let's get this party started!" Brandon yells turning on the speaker system. 

Natalie's POV

"Ugh what am I even doing here!" I say to Skyler as I take another sip of the beer.  I could see people already getting tipsy.  "Come on Natalie relax!  School's finally over!  And our graduation is coming upppppp" Skyler said as she took a sip of her Coke.  

I groaned.  I had a dress, and I was already getting all the prep done in the next few days, but I had one thing missing: a date.  

Now of course, after a massive break-up with a rockstar boyfriend, scratch that.  EX-boyfriend, one would obviously want a date to their graduation from HIGH SCHOOL!  I mean, it was PROM for crying out loud!  I was going to remember this night like the back up of my hand.  It wouldn't matter about anything that happened right before or right after.  Everything in that few final hours I would spend with the class would be what mattered most.
