Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 14

Skyler's POV

"So I bought a dress" I giggle flopping onto my bed.  "Did you?" Luke replies through the phone sleepily. "Yup, it's blue!" "Will I ever get to see it?" Luke yawns.  "Maybe... if you're lucky." I tease.  I smile as the sound of his familiar laughter fills the phone speaker. 

"The boys are excited to see you and Nat." he sighs as I try to readjust myself into a comfier position.  "Aw, we're excited too I just hope it's not too weird!" I confess.  "Nah it wont be weird." Luke assures me. "Oh I forgot to tell you!" I chuckle sitting up. 

"What?" "When Nat and I went shopping we found the perfect robe for Michael." "Really?" Luke says his voice sounding off "Uh yeah" I reply trying to keep the conversation light.  "It's that superman one he said he wanted." "That's cool." Luke replies shortly, obviously annoyed.

"Ok what's wrong?" I sigh crossing my legs.  "Nothing it's stupid" "Luke tell come on tell me!" "It's really no big deal it's just some times it feel like you like Michael more then me." he mumbles.  

I bit my lip trying to hold in my laughter.  "It's not funny!" he whines "Luke, it's kind of funny!" The line stays quiet.  "Look, I love Michael, and the other boys but I'm in love with you dummy."  

He sighs in relief and I blush a little realizing what I had just said so sappy.  "It's just sometimes I wonder why" "What do you mean why?" I question extremely confused.  "Why you like me, I'm just so awkward!" I can't help but laugh again as I imagine Luke running his fingers through his hair. 

"Luke Hemmings there are literally 1000 of girls who love you I was just lucky enough to love you first." I whisper. "For the record I love you too." he whispers back.  

"Good! Because that would've been awkward" I joke making him chuckle "Alright well I should go, Ashton's cooking." "Oh god" I laugh "Bye Andrews" "Later Hemmings." I reply fondly waiting for the phone to go dead. 

I ring Nat's door bell trying to look awkwardly through the glass stained window next to the door. Natalie's mom greets me at the door with a hug impressed with my side curled hair styles I had done myself. 

"Mom is that Sky?" I hear Natalie yell "No sweetie!" I reply trying to imitate her moms voice, she chuckles giving me another quick hug before walking into the kitchen. "Nice to see you." I wave walking up her staircase those embarrassing pictures still in full view. 

Flashback

"Ashton no!" I groan as he pull out his phone. "You guys look so cute!" Calum laughs also pulling out his phone "I hate you all!" I pout "Natalie this is your fault!" I continue waving my finger.

"Me?" Natalie questions obviously offended "It's not my fault my mom refuses to take them down!" I blush embarrassed at the sound of the camera going off. 

"Ashton!" Natalie laughs reaching out for his phone making him hold his arm up. Natalie attempts to reach it by standing on her tippy toes and jumping making him laugh harder. 

Calum joins in making Natalie turn bright red "Calum!" She whines finally giving up "What? I think you look adorable." he whispers coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist.   Natalie smiles relaxing into it "Ew. Michael appears "get a room" "We weren't even doing anything!" she defends, Calum kisses her cheek.

"Thank the Lord you're here!" Natalie sighs wrapping her arm around me.  "Help me I have no idea what to do!" "I can see that!" I reply scanning the room several different shawls and make up tools thrown around her room.
