Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 6

Skyler's POV

I squeal receiving a text from Luke, I jump of my bed and run over to Natalie who already has the car running "there are going to be a ton of fans at the airport" I state pulling down the mirror to touch up my make up. Natalie bites her lip 

"I didn't even think about that" she admits keeping her eyes focused on the road. I send a quick text to Luke telling him that we're on our way. "Do they travel with One Direction?" I ask my running my fingers through my hair "don't think so, I mean that's a lot of band members on one plane" she chuckles nervously 

"do I look ok?" she asks "yeah of course!" I assure her "Nat stop being so nervous Cal already like you alright nothings changed" I smile. She sighs blaring Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. 

"Woah" I exclaim when we walk into the airport a group of girls standing near the check in, "oh my god is that?" I hear one of them yell "Bethany that's her!" "Don't be daft no it's not!" I hear two other voices call, I blush trying my hardest not to turn and look at them as we walk by into the baggage area. 

Natalie and I look around for them noticing that two of the baggage carrousels are moving. "Guess who" I hear Luke's voice whisper behind me I grab his hands and pull them off my face before wrapping my arms around him in a tight hug. 

"What the hell!" I laugh pulling away from him "how'd you get taller?" Luke grins at me pulling me back into another hug. "So uh where are the other boys?" Natalie questions awkwardly "with the luggage" Luke replies easily wrapping a hand around my waist "Cal's beyond excited to see you"  he winks Natalie taking a sigh of relief 

"come on then you guys can make out later" Natalie sings heading in the direction of the boys. All three of them where sitting with the luggage "Sky, Natalie!" Michael yells running towards us 

"why hello there muppet" I smile wrapping an arm around him "Hey babe" I hear Calum whisper before picking up his bags Natalie smiles hesitantly helping him. 

"Sky, will you carry this for me?" Ashton asks me holding out a back rolling suitcase "Why of course" I reply pulling the handle out "ready?" I question "just about" Michael replies flinging the last bag over his shoulder. 

"How do you guys only have 8 bags?" "it was only two weeks" "plus we're guys" Michael snorts I roll my eyes as Natalie opens the doors, screams becoming defining I gap dazed at all the attention they're getting. "I love you!" I hear one girl yell "and I love you!" Ashton screams back making the crowd giggle, we walk through the airport Natalie and I are 10 steps behind them as they walk quickly heads down "Luke is that your girlfriend?" Another voice calls, I try to block it out but Luke stops walking 

"Sky are you sure you want to do this" he whispers the screams rising. I look at him for a second realizing what he meant and gulp nervously nodding, a smile spreads across as he cups my face kissing me gently. I hear the snap of camera's going off as he pulls away grabbing my left hand as we walk out of the airport. 

"Boy's we should play some shows while we're here" "Ash we just got back" Calum whines Natalie handing Calum her car keys "I'm going to sleep for three days straight" "just three" we banter jumping into the car. "So how was touring your home country boys?" "Incredible" "Do you know what I realized?" Michael says leaning forward "Melbourne girls are well fit" he comments Ashton laughs loudly raising his hand for a high five "good to have you back boys" Natalie smiles "just in time for the end of year 11" I add.   

Natalie's POV

I felt like my knuckles were about to burst because I was clenching my hands so tightly.  I didn't mean to be so tense.  I just was.  I had been hesitant around Cal ever since that experience out on the street a couple weeks back.
