Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 10

Skyler's POV

I saw Luke and Calum standing near the Glob, and I immediately glare at Michael and Ashton who are trying not to look guilty. I roll my eyes at them turning my attention back to Natalie who seemed to be frozen on the spot. "You ok?" I whisper breaking her out of her trace like state she coughs nodding slightly "you go I'll catch up with you after" "Nat I don't thin-" "it's going to have to happen sooner or later" she sighs nervously walking towards them. "What the hell!" I question punching Ash's arm "ow!" he whines "was that the whole point of today?" I say angrily crossing my arms "Well n-" Ashton starts "No!" Michael interrupts "it just so happens they where in the neighbourhood" I glare at them "let's go then" I say 

"shouldn't we wait?" "Nat said she'd meet us at mine" Michael and Ashton nod at each other and follow me down the road in silence. I pull out the keys to my house and let them in "Mom?"  I yell "Mikey and Ash are here and don't be nice to them cause they're assholes." "Hey!" They whine I smirk when I hear no answer from up stairs I walk into the lounge and turn on How I Met Your Mother, 

"do you guys want food?" I question opening the fridge "always" Michael smiles walking up behind me. Just then I hear a knock at the door "Ash can you get that?" He nods walking to the door, "Sky?" I hear Luke call "in here" I yell back "Hi" I smile kissing his cheek. "Where's Nat?" I ask nervously and Luke bites his lip. I groan turning back to Michael and Ashton who where watching the show intently. I pull out a pot of water and begin to boil it. 

"Nat they're leaving tomorrow, ok I don't know what happened but please call me" I say hanging up the phone and pacing around room. The boys where leaving tomorrow and Natalie had been avoiding me all week, even if she was in a fight with Cal I knew she's regret it if she didn't ay good bye. 

Meanwhile Luke was leaving again and he was busy consoling Calum. I sigh falling back into my bed I pull my phone out again and check my Instagram 2341 new followers I smile adding a new picture, it was of all six of us on the beach just our silhouettes visible. 

Flashback

"Cal no!" Nat giggles running down the shore line "Don't be a chicken Natalie!" He calls after her, I smile at the sight knowing it was our last night with all of them until after the Take Me Home tour. "I am really going to miss you guys" Michael confesses poking a the bonfire "you guys are going to be amazing" I reassuring him Michael shrugs 

"what if they don't like our music?" "they's be deaf not to" I tell him we smile at each other for a second "alright better go save Nat" Michael says jumping up "I'm coming" he yells running after them I giggle watching Michael's arm flail. "We've brought more fire wood" Ashton sings him and Luke dropping the logs beside the fire 

"where'd everyone go?" "well you see, Cal found some sort of crab on the beach and told Natalie to touch it when she refused he started chasing her with it. Then Michael ran after them in a sad attempt to save her." Ashton giggles propping a log up in the fire 

"well tell them to get back here we have marshmallows to roast" I look at Luke and he begins to countdown on his fingers "Michael! Food!" We chuckle as Luke sits down beside me wrapping his arm around me. "That was quick" Ashton comments already seeing Michael running towards us "always works" I nod smugly "I was on my way back already, they started making out I felt violated" We all laugh and begin to pull out the supplies to make smores. Natalie and Calum begin to make there way back to us faces flushed "oh hey" Ashton smirks "shut up" Natalie blushes ruffling his hair.
