Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 20

Skyler's POV

"Hey!" I yell walking into the house, which we nicknamed the Bat Cave (very original I know.)  "Hey Sky guess who I ran into today?" Natalie asks as I set my bags down on the counter.  

"Who?" I question "Sylvana!" My eyes go wide. "What!  No way!" "Yup she's in her second year at the university." Natalie explains. "But I thought she worked at that restaurant?" "She said an aunt of her owns the place and gave her a job when she was on break." 

Just then Ashton walks into the kitchen grabbing an apple from the fridge. "Did Ashton know about this?" I smirk knowingly. Natalie turns to him "He swore he didn't but I don't believe him, can you believe they've been texting and hanging out and we didn't know?" "How'd he even give her his number?" I question. "He did but she also wrote hers down on our bill in the restaurant." "Clever clever girl." I smile looking over at Ash. 

He just blushes taking a bite of his apple and walking out of the kitchen.  "You should invite her over!" I yell, Natalie leans over the counter "If he doesn't I will!" Natalie calls making sure he can hear.  "I have a feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of her." Natalie winks "Good we need more girls in this house, too much testosterone!" I reply wrinkling my nose.  

"I hate you both so fucking much!" Ash yells making us both laugh, we walk into the living room and sit next to him on the sofa. "So you like her?" we question "I don't know." "But you like hanging out with her?" "I guess." "She's really pretty." Ashton stands up "That is it, I have something to do that isn't here!" "Are you gonna text Sylvana?" Natalie calls making me wolf whistle.  Ashton groans running up the staircase. 

"Skyler your boyfriend should be back soon." he informs me. I look at Natalie and she gives me the okay.  I squeal giving her a quick hug and going into through the back yard into the recording studio, I see the red light is turned off and walk into the studio. I hear laughing and I see Luke and Michael sitting with there instruments across from someone I didn't recognize. 

I'm about to leave when I hear Luke call my name. "Sky, babe there's someone I want you to meet." he smiles standing up, the guy across from them stands up extending his hand. "Nice to meet you I'm Alex."  My jaw drops.  It's Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low, how the hell did Luke not tell me about this!?  

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Skyler." I stutter shaking his hand "Told you she'd be nervous." Luke smiles elbowing Michael.  "Sky you just lost me five dollars!" I glare at him. 

"Sorry I'm a big fan" I reply nervously running my fingers through my hair.  Alex laughs. "I assure you have nothing to be nervous about, Luke has been talking about you all afternoon." I raise my eyebrow at Luke and he shrugs walking over to me and wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Have you met Natalie?" "Yes, she was in here earlier" "She was shaking it was hilarious!" Michael adds.  "You guys have chosen your girls wisely they have good music taste". Alex smiles, I chuckle as Luke pulls me in closer to him. 

"They're lucky we put up with all there bullshit." I reply making him laugh.  "I can't imagine what it's like to live with these boys." "Sorry what?" I say trying to clarify what he said, embarrassed.  "The American accent is a tricky thing." Michael sighs.  "I like her!" he laughs.  "I'm sure I'll be seeing you around soon?" he continues packing up his guitar.  "Definitely." I assure him running my fingers through my hair again.

I run back through the yard.  "Why did no one tell me Alex from ATL was here?" I yell walking back into the house, I see Ashton and Natalie on the couch watching reruns of what I think is Vampire Diaries. "I would've but you were annoying me." Ashton shrugs.
