The year someone turns 18 they have the opportunity to be injected with a serum that will produce a soulmate mark somewhere on their body. This serum is costly and the procedure to get the injection is not covered by insurance.
A rare illness cropp...
I nod. "Kay, I trust you." I repeat the same sentiment to him I had only uttered to Jimin a few moments ago.
As I stated to them, traversing the staircase was definitely a nerve wrecking endeavor when I couldn't see. But, it did calm my nerves somewhat to feel Jimin's small hand held mine as he guided me down the stairs and the pressure of Hobi's large hands on my shoulders offering a reassuring presence. Hobi softly would squeeze my shoulders and announce when another step was coming. I didn't count the steps, but it felt like forever before I finally touched even, solid ground again. I'm sure that was mostly due to how fearful that blind descent left me.
I knew the mansion was big without having to be told; it was a mansion after all. So, I wasn't completely surprised it took about thirty steps or so before we even got to the entrance, and they told me I could open my eyes.
I'm not surprised to find myself in a lavish foyer. The only thing that slightly tarnishes the visual is the slew of shoes off to the side, but honestly to me it just adds an element of 'home.' My curiosity guides me further into the back of the home, which once we pass a long hallway and staircase finally opens up to a huge beautiful open space supported by equally spaced large columns.
To my immediate right is a small black marble topped bar with a built in sink. My nose slightly scrunches. My response is not reflective of my personal problem with alcohol but with the fact that there are only four barstools. I guess the furniture behind said barstools more than makes up for it. Honestly, because of the amount of furniture I wonder if said barstools will ever even get used.
The area directly in front of me I mentally split up into two parts. One being a small living area suited with a fireplace. It has a couple of light brown loveseats, with throw pillows of a mixed shade of the same browns and seafoam green I see splashed here and there in the room. I walk over to one of them and pick up a throw pillow and smile. They really are trying to reflect me wherever they can. Some of the throw pillows have daisies on them.
I redirect my eyes briefly to a set of chairs in front of a large sliding glass door. The door has my curiosity peaking, but the large drapes are closed and keeping me from looking outside past them. "What's on the other side of the door?"
"You'll see soon, Petal." Hobi only answers cryptically.
I shrug and continue my perusal of the second portion of the room in front of me. Two large glass dining tables, with plush soft gray high back chairs. I am a little baffled by them in all honesty. "What are these for?" I ask.
Jimin shrugs. "We wanted to make sure there would be enough seating if all of our families came over. Perhaps it was a bit overkill though."
I shake my head. "No, that makes sense. I honestly didn't think that far ahead. Perhaps, my brain is still muddled from sleep."

When I turn fully to my left I swear I hear a heavenly choir singing in my head, and while the sight of Yoongi and Jin cooking is a sight I definitely appreciate, it's their surroundings that have me mentally responding this way.
