Chapter Thirty One

I am silently playing with my hands when the car stopped. I lifted my head up and saw the restaurant infront of us.

I tried my luck here. Sana nandito si Pio sa loob. Hindi ako pinagbuksan ng gate sa bahay nila and I understand it though. His parents hate me because of whatever my father says to them.

"Madali lang ako." Sabi ko sa limang alipores ni Pa'pa na hindi ko alam kung naintindihan ba nila pero wala akong pakialam.

Bumaba ako at mabilis na naglakad. Nagulat pa iyong dalawang guard nang makita ako.

"Ma'am."

"Kuya, si Sir Pio?"

"Nasa loob, Ma'am."

I nodded and enter the restaurant. I saw him sitting in the middle with some whisky infront of him.

"Leave. I don't want to see you." His voice is cold.

I stopped and took a deep breathe.

"I'm sorry,"

"Don't want to hear it." Kalmado nyang sabi.

"Pero gusto kong ipaliwanag sayo lahat. Hindi ko naman intensyon na itago sayo, hindi lang ako makahanap ng tamang oras. I didn't expect that Pa'pa will be here. I'm sorry. Sorry sa mga sinabi nya sayo at sa pamilya mo."

"All this time, you're flithy rich? Pero nagtatrabaho ka sa ganito?"

"I wanted to be an ordinary person too. Iyong katulad nyo na malayang nagagawa ang gusto n--"

"Princess! A fucking princess in London?!"

I bit my lower lip hard. Tumayo sya na hawak ang baso at hinarap ako. His face is annoyed.

"Sasabihin ko sayo, na--"

"Damn it! Prinsesa ka!? So that explains your eyes and your slang thing." Malamig na malamig na iyong boses nya. "Leave now. Tama iyong tatay mo, hindi ka bagay dito."

"Just here me out, please after this.. I'll leave."

He shooked his head.

"A princess like you doesn't fit in this place." He said. A hint of pain appears in his eyes but he blinked it.

"Hindi ako prinsesa. Duchess lang." mahinahon kong sabi.

He smirked, look like he's annoyed. "It's still the same.."

Natahimik ako. His bloodshot eyes is staring at me and I can't even stared at him.

"Tinay.." He snorted. "Or should I say, Justine?"

I don't know what to say anymore. My hearts hurting but I know he's hurting too. I lied to him and make him believe everything.

"Lock the door when you leave." He said and bow his head. "Your highness,"

"Pio..."

He turned his back on me and ignore me like he didn't know me before. Bumagsak ang balikat ko at tumalikod nalang para maglakad palabas.

Bago ako tuluyang lumabas, sumulyap pa ako sa kanya. I saw him drowning his self in whisky, he's calmed and I don't know what he's thinking now and right at this moment, I wanted to hugged him but I know I shoudn't be doing this.

"Pio," He didn't response. "I'm really sorry,"

Tumakbo ako sa sasakyan at hindi pinansin ang mga alipores. Umiiyak ako hanggang sa makabalik kami sa hotel kung nasan si Pa'pa.

He arched his brow at me and didn't talk. Inutusan nya ang mga alipores na ilagak na ang bagahe namin sa van.

I saw Edgardo's smirking face. I bitterly wipe my cheeks.
