My birthday? Oh! I remember, November 20 ang nilagay ni Matilda na birthday ko sa fake resume ko. My real birthday is February 2.

I smiled awkwardly again.

"Ahm, hindi ko na naman po kasi masyadong cinecelebrate ang birthday ko, kaya po limot ko." I explained carefully.

"You can still celebrate it, once in a year lang sya dumadating."

"Ayoko pa din kasi tumanda, Sir."

"Age is just a number, Tinay." He casually said and manuvered the steering wheel.

Umayos ako ng tayo at lumingon sa bintana.

"Komportable ka ba?"

Nilingon ko sya, "Oo naman po."

"You can play this stereo, iwas inip. More than four hours ang biyahe."

"Okay lang po,"

He just nodded and continue driving. I hugged myself and silently feel my heart. Oo na, masaya ako. Sabi nga ni Matilda, I should just go with the flow before it's over.

He opened the stereo and let the music filled the awkwardness. O baka naman ako lang nakakaramdam ng awkward?

His phone rang. Sabay kaming napatingin doon. Si Sir Ramgiorel ang tumatawag. He connected it to his airpods and answer the call.

"Yeah?" Sinandal nya ang kaliwang braso sa binata at huminto dahil sa trapik sa harapan namin. "Papunta akong Lucena... uhuh, no... Balikan ako. Geez, stop, nyehehe funny, Ram?"

He looked at my side and shooked his head.

"Gago. Bahala ka na nga." Iiling iling nyang pinatay ang tawag.

Mamaya maya ay pumasok naman ang tawag galing kay Ma'am Aina.

"Yes Aina? Wala ako, bukas na ako papasok. Yes, arranged it. Ako na bahala magclarify pagbalik ko." He paused for a second and chuckled. "She's with me, alright. Bye."

I focused on the road. I don't know where's Lucena but I heard that it's his Hometown.

I yawned really hard and feel embarressed after that.

"You can sleep. Nasa tiaong palang tayo."

Umiling ako kasi gusto kong makita ang paligid. Dahil gusto ko nang malibot ang buong Pilipinas. Ngayong nandito ako, I am starting to love this Country. I wanted to live here forever.

I am still wide awake when we passed through a signage saying that 'Welcome to Lucena'. And I guess, we're in Lucena now.

"Let's eat first bago tayo dumiretso kay Lola." Niliko na nya ang sasakyan sa isang restaurant.

He parked and turn off the engine. Hinawakan ko naman ang purse ko at inayos ng konti ang damit ko. Sabay kaming bumaba, he locked his fj cruiser.

I gasped as he hold my hand. He slightly pulled me closer to him.

"Are you okay?"

Tumango ako at bumagsak ang tingin sa kamay naming magkahawak. Well, his palm is warm and perfectly fit in my hands. I bit my inner cheeks to stop me from smiling.

We walked towards the restaurant and greeted by the waitress.

"Table for two?"

"Yes." Pio's husky voice.

Hinayaan ko lang na hilahin nya ako papunta doon. Sya na din mismo ang humila ng upuan sa akin and he seated beside me. I blinked at him, pwede naman kasi sya sa harapan ko.
