Chapter 43

I do believe him, but I don't believe the experience would have been a parallel to the way Jin handled the vehicle. Jimin isn't quite as timid as Jin is when first starting out. He still takes a minute to get used to the vehicle underneath him, but he is quick to join in the way Jk is zipping around the water. It doesn't help that Jk is egging Tae on and the two are being somewhat competitive with each other. Jimin's competitive side soon joins the ranks and he is zipping through at a faster speed than even Jin took me at. Luckily when I clutch tighter around his middle he realizes that he might be going too fast for me and becomes more restrained.

When we pull back up to the boat, after he turns off the engine, he apologizes to me. "Sorry, Daisy, I got lost in the moment."

I smile reassuringly at him. "It's okay. I was only mildly taken aback. Plus, I knew if I would tighten my arms around you that you would come back to your senses." My smile turns into a teasing smirk, and his adorable laugh bursts forward.

We decide to take a break for lunch before proceeding onto any other activities. None of us are surprised to be presented with cold dishes. Two platters are put in front of us. A large platter of fruit, mostly watermelon but there are also strawberries and grapes, is first placed by Luiz. Canciana follows him bringing in a plate she refers to as Salpicão chicken salad. We didn't notice Luiz leave but he comes in bringing a tray filled with small bowls of gazpacho.

Once Luiz and Canciana leave to let us eat in peace I finally form the frown that was wanting to form on my face. Yoongi notices it right away. "What's wrong, Daisy?"

I sigh and send a pointed look at the salad. "I'm not a big fan of iceberg lettuce. I like to not so lovingly refer to it as 'crunchy water.'" I'm not surprised this gets a few muffled laughs in response. Although Yoongi and Jin support my assessment.

"It is probably made up of about 95% water, so that phrasing makes sense." Yoongi says.

"And it has very little nutritional value, so I understand why you would be more interested in other lettuces and leafy greens." Jin supports.

Joon intervenes by saying. "Yes, but it's probably being given to us because of the high percentage of water content right now. I'm sure they are doing everything in their power to make sure we stay hydrated."

I concede this point and begin to eat the salad. Despite the 'crunchy water' the other ingredients combine together to make a very unique flavor. The chicken has been smoked which isn't something I would traditionally do for a salad. But the smokiness adds an additional flavor profile to the fruits and veggies also. Other ingredients in the salad are: red and green bell peppers, pineapple, apple, slivered carrots, slivered apple, sultanas (white raisins), and onion.

We all decide to relax for a bit and let our food settle. Yoongi suggests fishing, which Jk and Jin both jump at. Joon surprises me by grabbing my hand. "You. Come with me."

Before I can utter some kind of agreement or refusal I am being pulled out of my chair. He is basically dragging me behind him. I'm unsure of our destination until we get to the top of the stairs. I don't feel like I have overexerted muscles, but that jacuzzi looks exceptionally inviting regardless.

We both get in and Joon starts the jets. He pulls me beside him so my head is resting on his shoulder. I may have slept in his arms last night, but that is honestly all we did. The only lip action I received was on my forehead before I finally succumbed to slumber. Between the excitement from riding the waverunners and the setting I'm nearly certain that he brought me up here to get away from the others more than to simply enjoy the pulsating jets surrounding us.

My suspicions are confirmed when he picks me up and places me on his lap. Being face to face with Joon, straddling his waist is not something I anticipated happening anytime soon. He brushes at the drops of water that have formed on my arms. "I hope you are enjoying yourself."

I smirk down at him, cupping the back of his neck. "Do you mean today? Or do you mean right now being in your arms?"

He cocks a half smile that is definitely full of male confidence. "I was mostly referring to today, but I'm not opposed to hearing how this closeness is making you feel."

"Today, was been wonderful and definitely a surprise. Regarding this moment?" I shrug my shoulders in fake indifference. "It could be better."

He takes the hint for what it is and pulls me to him. Our lips crash together in a rapid building heat that I expected but am still overwhelmed by. I know this is dangerous. To be getting this excited when there is barely a stitch of clothing between us, but with Joon the minute our lips touch it seems to be the equivalent of throwing gasoline on an already blazing fire. It's the sound of footsteps on the stairs that have us pulling apart.

Tae comes around the corner with a smile on his face. He doesn't seem remotely fazed to find me on Joon's lap. "I was wondering where you two had got to. Hobi and Jimin both went downstairs to rest a bit."

I frown at that. "Are they sick?"

"They have seasick patches on but I think it's a combination between that and the sun right now. I am sure that they will be okay in a little bit." I nod but I am still planning to check on them in a moment. I glance at Joon and he nods too, knowing exactly where I am about to go.

"You go check on them. I'll be down in a few minutes." As I climb out I can't help but train my eyes on the bubbles and know exactly why he is staying in the jacuzzi for now. Tae had the foresight to bring towels up with him so I take one and quickly dry myself off before going downstairs to check on my sick soulmates.
