"Aly!" Ryan yelled, running up behind me.

"GET AWAY FROM ME ASSHOLE!" I cried, jerking my shoulder away from his hand. He wasn't my ex but he wasn't my boyfriend... it's been complicated like this for a week.

"Aly, just listen to me!" He begged.

"WHAT!" I screamed in his face.

"I don't have the words to make anything better but... maybe a certain group of people will."

"Huh?" I asked, super confused.

"Just follow me" He sighed as he yanked me to their recording studio. I saw Jacky with his guitar and Ryan's drums set up.

"What is going on!" I demanded.

"Just listen" He said, sitting me in my chair. I crossed my arms, waiting for him and Jacky to get set up.

Just a small town girlLivin' in a lonely worldShe took the midnight train goin' anywhere

The name of the song instantly popped in my head and I smiled.

Just a city boyBorn and raised in South DetroitHe took the midnight train goin' anywhere

I closed my eyes and listened to Ryan's voice sing my favorite song.

A singer in a smokey roomThe smell of wine and cheap perfumeFor a smile they can share the nightIt goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waitingUp and down the boulevardTheir shadows searchin' in the night

I wanted to run into the room, forgiving him and attacking him with hugs and kisses but I kept myself calm. Just until the song ended.

Streetlight, peopleLivin' just to find emotionHidin' somewhere in the night

Workin' hard to get my fillEverybody wants a thrillPayin' anythin' to roll the diceJust one more time

I not only focused on the vocals but his smooth drum beats. He must of practiced forever to get those perfect.

Some will win, some will loseSome are born to sing the bluesAnd now the movie never endsIt goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waitingUp and down the boulevardTheir shadows searchin' in the night

Streetlight, peopleLivin' just to find emotionHidin' somewhere in the night

I heard the high notes coming up and I started paying more attention to the vocals again.

Don't stop believin'Hold on to that feelin'Streetlight, people

Don't stop believin'Hold on to that feelin'Streetlight, people

Don't stop!

The song ended and I found myself standing, clapping, so proud of my love.

"OH MY GOD RYAN!" I screamed, jumping on him as he entered the doorway.

"So, does this fix things?"

"YES! I'M SO GLAD YOU REMEBERED MY FAVORITE SONG!"

"Of course! Just never stop believing in our love, in me, in us." He whispered in my ear, kissing my cheek.

"I love you so much Ryan" I said, crying as I kissed him.

"I love you to Aly" He said, holding me tighter against his body.
