"Hey babe, I got a birthday surprise for you, how about you come over" I suggested to my boyfriend over the phone.

"Sure, be right over, love you."

"Love you too" I said and hung up.

I got dressed in a black sundress and flat ironed my hair. I added black eyeliner and ran down stairs as I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to see the love of my life.

"Ronnie!" I squealed, jumping on him and hugging him tight.

"Haha, hey love" He said, wrapping his arm around me to support me and stepping into my house. He kissed me as he let me down.

"Happy birthday" I said, breaking the kiss as he took off his leather jacket.

"Thank you" He said and I dragged him to the couch. "So what was this surprise exactly?" He asked as he sat down.

"Well... I kinda wrote you a song" I said, swaying in my spot.

"Ahh! Let me hear it!" He squealed, boucing in his seat.

"Alright you girl" I said, picking up my acoustic guitar from the corner and sitting on the other couch.

When I was younger I saw my daddy cry
and curse at the wind.
He broke his own heart and I watched
as he tried to reassemble it.

As soon as I finished, I looked up at a stunned Ronnie.

"So?" I asked, worried it was horrible.

"That was fucking amazing darling!" He said, running over to me and hugging me tightly.

"Thank you, I wrote it for and about you" I said with a chuckle.

"It was awesome babe, thank you. I love you so much. This is the best birthday present ever" He rambled as he kissed me.

"Glad you like it Ronnie" I said, kissing him back.

"I seriously love you Kat" He said, rubbing my hand.

"I love you too Ronald" I smiled at him.
