"i'm sorry Kayleigh" Rae says handing Kayleigh a card before she goes to school

"huh?"

"babe rae wrote you something look at it"

"i just woke upppppp"

"dad she doesn't want it"

"she does she's just tired"

"can i give it to her after school"

"that would be good it's really early"

"okay but make sure she knows i love her when she wakes up"

"of course now you're going to miss your bus you better go"

"omg i almost forgot bye!" she rushes out of the room and i laugh

Kayleigh turns her body towards me and whimpers

i can tell shes in pain and it breaks my heart

"how do you feel?" i ask her once she opens her eyes

"tired and my head hurts"

"okay well stay in bed i'll go wake up ryland and get you your medicine okay"

"i don't want it"

"why not?"

"it doesnt help me"

"you haven't even taken it yet"

"it won't help though"

"can you just try it please"

"fine" i kiss her forehead and walk to Rylands room

i pick him up and he wakes up

"daddy" he whispers

"good morning baby wanna go sleep with mommy"

"mhm"

"okay first we have to get her her medicine okay"

"okay daddy let's go"

we get her medicine the doctors prescribed and water and go to our room

she's under the covers and Ryland climbs into the bed and hugs her

"daddy momma crying" Ryland tells me and i walk over to the bed

i get in and under the covers and she definitely is crying

"baby what's wrong" i ask

"m-my head hurts, my bodies aching, i just want to sleep but I can't"

"i'm sorry. i have an idea. you take your medicine the doctor gave you,it should help relieve the pain. then you and Ryland can sleep while i give you a massage to help with the aching. how does that sound. do you like that" i ask and she nods

"mhm"

"good now here's your medicine" i give her the medicine and she takes it

"thank you Dani"

"of course" i kiss her forehead and she moves to lay in my lap with Ryland in hers

they fall asleep and i start to give her, the massage

its very relaxing seeing as i can tell she's sleeping

i feel better knowing she's okay during this

i honestly don't mind if the rest of our mornings are like this, it makes her happy which definitely makes me happy

i just hope she survives this
