I get upstairs and go to Rae's room first

I try opening the door but it's locked so I stick with knocking

"Go away"

"It's me Kayleigh"

I hear shuffling for a second and then the door opens

I walk in and pick her up

She cries into my shoulder and I walk over to her bed

"Calm down" I whisper

"No daddy was being so mean to me"

"I know but you didn't have to call him a bad dad"

"Well he's being one. He won't let me date that boy" she gets out of my arms and sits on her bed with her arms crossed

"Because you're only 9. You have plenty more time in your life to date people"

"Ugh I know but still"

"But still what"

"Nothing." She uncrosses her arms and hugs me

"What was that for"

"You made me feel better I love you"

"I love you too. Don't you think you should apologize to Daddy"

"Yeah I will can you talk to him first I'm scared"

"Sure. Stay in here okay"

"Okay thank you again"

"Of course" I kiss her forehead and walk out of the room

I walk into mine and Daniels room and he's crying on our bed

I move onto the bed and put Daniels head on my lap

I pet his hair and wait for him to calm down

He calms down and sits up to hug me

"It's okay" I whisper

"No it's not she-shes right"

"No she's not and she knows that. She was just upset okay. Also she feels really bad."

"But I am a bad dad. And I was probably a bad boyfriend and I'm a bad fiancé and I'll probably be a bad husband"

"Baby stop that. You're not a bad dad. You were an amazing boyfriend you're the best fiancé and you will be the most perfect husband so stop okay. You are the best at everything and I love you a lot"

"I love you too." He kisses me and sighs contently in my shoulder

"I want you to talk to Rae. She feels bad for what she said and I know you feel better so please"

"Sure but after"

"After I'm done hugging you"

"Can we just get married already" he says and I laugh
