I make the girls dinner and hope they like it. I'm trying to make a good impression on Kayleigh in hopes that if I ever ask her out she'll say yes.

I really like her

"Daddy this is so good" Rae compliments

"Thank you"

I notice Kayleigh isn't eating and is just watching Rae

"Hey Rae did you wash your hands before you ate"

"Oops I'll go now"

She leaves the room and I mentally highfive myself

"So I have a question" I ask Kayleigh

"If it's about my eating habits please stop"

"But I'm curious"

"Okay well if you really want to know. After my accident my body started to think that anything I eat is damaging and my body will force me to throw the food up. I do eat sometimes mainly over toilets though. And I don't want to eat here because I don't want to throw up over your beautiful house. And what's worse is I'm also allergic to so much that my body can take in so I always either throw up or have an allergic reaction"

"But the strawberry?"

"I know. It's actually a miracle that i didn't throw up. I was surprised as well"

"Maybe it's gone"

"Not likely the doctors told me it would never go away unless I got surgery but I don't understand what they would be able to do that"

"Then how do you eat and keep healthy"

"Like I said I eat over a toilet. The good thing is I can just drink water therefore it's impossible for me to die."

"But what about your dream of being a head chef. You have to eat the food you make"

"That's my struggle. My dream is the one thing I can't do"

"I could always help you. At the diner you cook, I taste, and when Rae's old enough she waitresses"

"Are you willing to be my friend for that long"

"Oh I am not going anywhere"

"Good because I li- never mind"

It almost sounded as she was going to say she likes me

Nah I'm hearing things. There's no way a girl as beautiful as her would like me.

Rae comes back from the bathroom and sits down with a mischievous smile

"So daddy" she says turning to me and smirking

"Yes"

"You haven't dated any girl since my female who gave birth to me why not"

"Oh I just haven't found anyone good enough for you"

"What about Kayleigh. She's single and we're BEST friends. She's good enough for me. Oh and she's SUPER beautiful isn't she daddy?"

"Yes Rae she is beautiful and she is good enough for both of us but-"

"But nothing. Kayleigh likes you she even told me herself"

"RAE!!!" Kayleigh yells which means it's true that she does like me

"Kayleigh no he needs to know now"

"Daniel I have no idea what your daughter is saying she has no idea what she's talking about. I don't like you. I mean I like you but I don't like you like you. No that's a lie I do but I don't. you don't feel the same so I don't like like you. But I do I really do but no" she rambles

"Woah woah woah you like me?" I ask in shock and excitement

"I mean yes-no- Ugh I don't know"

"Rae go away for a sec."

Rae leaves the room and I move to sit next to Kayleigh

She puts her head down in embarrassment but I lift it back up with my finger

"I like you too" I lean in and kiss her

She kisses back and I hear Rae gasp

We pull away and Rae is smiling

"Ask her to be your girlfriend" she mouths too me

I nod and turn to face Kayleigh

"Do you actually like me?" She asks

"Yes. I do. I like you a lot. Do you maybe wanna be my girlfriend"

"I'd love to be your girlfriend"

We kiss again and Rae runs to us hugging Kayleigh
