"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" I yell walking into the room where Rae's sleeping

"Babe shh shes trying to sleep"

"Soooo. Come on Rae wake up" I walk over to her and shake her awake

"But it's your birthday you're 10 years old. So old. TWO HANDS!"

She sits up and wipes her eyes

"Did you get me anything?"

"Yes I did. You're going to love it daddy doesn't even know what it is"

"Oh cool well show me later I'm tired"

"Your breakfast will get cold"

"I'm fine with that I'll eat it later"

"I'm very disappointed in you. She was so excited this morning about waking you up and giving you gifts and making you whatever you wanted and doing everything you asked. I hope you realize what you did happy birthday"

He walks down the stairs and sees me crying

"S-she hates me" I say as he pulls me into a hug

And I know what your real one did to you and your dad and it makes me mad that someone can do something like that. And I'm sorry I even thought you would agree"
