"DADDY DADDY DADDY WAKE UP"

I wake up being vigorously shaken by Rae

"Woah what's happening" I look over to where Kayleigh was last night and she's not there

Was that a dream

"KAY KAY MADE US BREAKFAST COME ON"

Rae pulls me out of the bed harshly making me stumble

"Who's Kay Kay?"

"Kayleigh duh now lets go"

She takes my hand and walks me downstairs

"I got him!!!"

"Thank you Rae" Kayleigh smiles and puts two plates down

"I hope you don't mind. I figured after everything that happened yesterday you guys needed something like this"

"You really didn't have too I mean we need to go fast anyways"

"Good thing I made sure you guys have three extra hours"

"What time did you wake up?"

"5 A.M" she says shyly

"You must be so tired"

"I'm really not I wake up even earlier than this"

"Well do you want anything to eat I mean you did make it"

"I'm fine I'm not really a breakfast person"

"Are you sure? You literally own a breakfast place"

"Well it's an everything place really"

"Kay Kay please eat" Rae asks

"Rae im fine seriously."

"But you didn't have dinner last night"

"Yes I did remember"

"But you didn't even eat any of it"

Now that I think about it she really didn't. She had like one bite and then just talked to us

"Yes I did"

"Rae, baby can you go upstairs for a second I want to talk to Kayleigh about something"

"Sure but get her to eat. I'm watching you Kayleigh I'm watching you" Rae says walking off

"Are you okay" I ask her

"Yes I am fine"

"Why dont you want to eat anything"

"Daniel I told you this im not a breakfast person"

"Are you also not a dinner person? What about lunch, or are you just not that kind of person either"

"Please stop seriously it's not that big of a deal"

"Yes it is you have to eat or you'll die"

"I haven't died yet"

"Are you saying you don't eat"

"No what I'm saying is- never mind just drop it okay"

"Tell me why you don't eat first"

"I just met you. How do you expect me to tell you something like this. We're practically strangers"

"If we're such strangers then get out of my house"

"Daniel please-"

"No leave you say we're strangers and I don't want strangers in my house now leave before I call the police and tell them you're breaking in"

"You don't understand. But okay I'll leave just never call me for help again. I can't believe after everything I've done in these last 24 hours you do this. Bye Daniel don't try and come to the diner for our 'date' that I was super excited for"

"Kayleigh wait-"

"No you told me to leave and now I'm leaving goodbye"

"But what about later today"

"I already told you this Daniel I said don't come. I don't want to see you. I just need space"

"I'm sorry"

"it's fine I'm just not ready to share that one part of my life with you just yet" she wipes a tear that fell and walks out of the house

"Daddy where's Kay?" Rae asks walking downstairs

"She had to go home to get ready"

"Oh okay well we'll see her later right?"

"Yeah we will"
