(12) He's my lover

A knocked-out crazy pinkie laid in the backseat of the rusty old car. Casual conversation came upon the two as they discussed future plans and whatnot. Nikko let out a sigh of relief.
"At least we know where to go...it's going to be one hell of a trip" Karin nodded. Once bringing the girl to Karin's house, and letting her rest they would bombard Sakura with questions. What did the house look like? Why did Sai do it? All these questioned lingered in the two adults' heads. "What if we go down for this..." Karin focused on the road, but her mind was far off from driving. The thought of bringing Sai down was what she wanted, but were they going about it in the right ways? Pushing the thought off, Karin drove silently.

"no dumbass! get her legs Nikko LEGS!" Karin hissed loudly. Nikko awkwardly grabbed Sakura's ankles. Her small figure swaying side to side. Karin took hold of the pink-haired girl's forearms.
"I'm trying..the bitch is heavy!" The couple swayed into a vertical line and walked backwards into the house. They placed the girl on the couch.
"she sure is heavy" Karin walked towards the door. Closing it, she turned to face Nikko. The man quickly disposed of his shirt, the two be used to him walking around without a shirt. Now it felt oddly weird. Karin stared at his muscles and his sweaty body. The girl was loving the view. Nikko could tell. A small smile appeared on his face.
"Ugh, you're such fangirl" Nikko playfully rolled his eyes. Swiftly, he grabbed a pillow from the couch. He threw it. Karin happily caught it.
"I'm not 17 anymore dumbass. " Karin threw the pillow back at Nikko. Not even glancing back the girl went upstairs.
" so damn confusing.." Nikko muttered. Taking a seat next to Sakura's head, he flipped on the television. None of the stations mattered to him. Choi was on his mind again, creeping up. Making sure he'd never forget about her. Forget about it all.

The days they'd spend together at their little tribe, homeless and all. They were still the happiest bunch of kids you'd ever find. Choi, Sai, Nikko, Ino, and Murasakino always had a plan. You'd never catch them sulking about their situation. They just lived life. To the fullest. Just for Murasakino and Choi to end up dead...but he hadn't told Karin about that other death. Nikko knew it would tear that poor girl to shreds. Closing his eyes, the man prefered not to dwell on the matter any longer.

He would wait until the morning.

( It's still night time!)

"Wow! T-that was fun teme" Naruto yawned. Outstretching his arms, almost slapping Sasuke in the face. The raven swiftly dodged.
"Watch where you're putting your arms dobe" Sasuke snarled. A bright red hint of blush appeared on Naruto's pale cheeks.
"Don't call me dobe duckbutt!" Naruto growled angrily. Sasuke burst out laughing. The blonde looked adorable, trying his hardest to seem so tough. When he was the biggest softie Konoha would ever see and know.
"c'mon...the bus is about to come" Sasuke wiped his eyes. He slowly intertwined his hands with Naruto's. The blonde flinched a bit. He looked down at the hand that had his. Naruto squeezed Sasuke's hand tightly. The two walked together towards the bus stop. In about 5 minutes time, the bus would appear. Obviously, the two had no way to predict the future or what lay ahead of them. They had no clue of the dangers that were going on under the surface of it all. But time would not wait for the two to figure it out. The bus arrived. A petite woman smiled at the two.
"2 dollars please" She smiled warmly. Naruto couldn't help but feel awkward handing her the $2. But he did nonetheless.
"Thank you!" She waved. Naruto awkwardly waved back. This time he grabbed Sasuke's hand tighter. Ushering the raven to the back of the bus.
"h-hey idio- what's the reas-" Naruto kissed Sasuke's lips.
"be quiet Sasuke" Naruto whispered into the man's neck. Nodding, Sasuke met a pair of eyes looking at him. They were bloodshot red, the eyes of the devil. They sent shivers down Sasuke's spine.
"S-sai.," Sasuke growled. The other raven man smiled. How could he smile after Sakura disappeared for weeks? He had no clue where she was, even now he didn't know what the girl was up to. Naruto backed away. Finally, Sasuke had seen what Naruto saw. The lady in the front had a knife, an expensive-looking one. She smiled especially bright when Naruto noticed it. Sai was a clumsy criminal because blood splatters were on his jacket. Naruto slid out his phone, dialling Karin's number. The blonde quickly muted himself. Texting frantically at the same time he told Karin everything that was going on and to call the police, immediately.
"Naruto-Kun...I wouldn't do that if I were you..." the lady smiled brightly. Her neck turning in a freakish way.
"H-how..do you know my name..."
"Oh we all know you here Uzumaki, we're here to cater to you, not harm you." The lady smiled.
"Now now...why don't you hang up that little phone of yours," Sai ordered. The raven pulled out a mysterious looking gun. It looked like it was handmade. Naruto looked at it with interest, not even noticing Sasuke taking off his jacket. The raven stood up.
"Sai...don't do this..." Sasuke soothed. His voice softened. The bus made a loud screech as they turned into an alley. The two managed to keep their balance.
"Ah... the hero am I, right? Why do you always think your voice can suddenly make me all goody?" Sai chuckled lightly while he threw the gun in the air and caught it. Sasuke watched him intently.
"If you don't I'-"
"You'll what?" Loud thuds came from the back of the bus. Everyone turned to look at Naruto who was smashing the windows at a great speed. For such a small boy Naruto had strength. He used the shattered glass as a weapon. They couldn't jump off the bus right now. The lady was driving too fast and even if they did jump they'd surely be killed by the traffic. Thinking up a strategy, Naruto threw the glass cut directly at Sasuke who dodged it.
Perfect. If he aimed it at Sai's gun, he could easily knock it out of the man's hands. Letting Sasuke freely grab it Naruto would run out and attack Sai. The lady, if she tried to fight back would easily be threatened by Sasuke.
"What the hell d-do you think you're doing Naruto?" Sai's eye twitched. The man was getting annoyed. Naruto stayed silent. Testing Sai to try something slick and that gun would fly right out of his hands.
"Sasuke...honey can you make sure not to get hit okay?" Naruto smiled warmly at Sasuke. Sasuke looked at him with a terrified look. They glared at each other for mere seconds before Sasuke's eyes changed. They looked relieved. Naruto collected the glass shatters. Throwing them directly at Sai, everyone inches away from the gun. Sai dodged them. That was obvious.
"Smart plan...but I don't think that will work on me!" Sai snarled. Just as he held his gun up to aim, Sasuke quickly contradicted it by a big blow to his stomach.
"You've forgotten one thing..." Sasuke pounded onto him. The two were sparing for the gun on the ground.
"Don't underestimate your opponent...that's rule one rookie" Sasuke snatched the gun, just as Sai's hand latched onto it too. The two looked at each other with a hysterical look. The gunshot both ways.
"I mean...you would be a fool Uchiha if you thought you were going to get out of this with at least a bruise on your body.." Sai snarled.

boom! The loud pop of the gunshot, hitting Sasuke on his shoulder. Sasuke sat back onto the chair, wincing in pain. Sai looked down at him. The gun not affecting him at all. It finally hit Naruto. It was some sort of diversion.
"Sasuke honey...you've got to stay strong...cover the wound with this jacket" Naruto threw the jacket at Sasuke. A faint smile appeared on Sasuke lips. The bus turned right. Causing Naruto to tilt over.
"ah...I think I should take a rest. Ino love"
"come handle this"
