Tangled Strings (sequel to Red Strings)

Chapter 37

"Hi, I'm Skyler" I smile pulling the girl next to Michael into a hug. She was tall, taller then Natalie and I but was still quite a bit shorter then Michael. she had a streak of colour in her brown hair and was wearing a oversized sweater that had some dance school logo sprawled across the front of it. 

She giggles hugging me back. "Hello!" she replies. "I'm Luke." Luke chimes in and I roll my eyes backing away from her. "Please pay no attention to them, they're insane." Michael warns her. "Oh please, we make you look sane!" I argue.  Michael puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a middle finger. 

"We're back bitches!" Ashton yells slamming the door behind him. Michael looks mortified and I laugh into Luke's shoulder and he is now apparently really doing the dishes now. Sylvana and Ashton come skipping into the kitchen... yes skipping. They freeze when they see Nina.  "Michael you know a girl!" Sylvana shouts excited.  Ashton giggles putting a hand on her shoulder to lean on. 

Sylvana hugs her. "Hi, I'm Nina!" she says. "I'm Sylvana and this cutie is Ashton!" she says pinching his cheek. "And they said we were disgusting," I whisper to Luke as he smiles at me and we bump fists crossing our arms. "Still are." Michael comments whispering loudly. 

"Hey!" Natalie and Calum say walking into the kitchen "Well I'm going to show Nina upstairs so..." Nina's face turns bright red and I send her a wink. Michael grabs her hand and walks her up the stairs.  "I'm Natalie by the way!" she shouts I think we hear Nina yell back, "Nice to meet you!" 

"Well she seems nice." Natalie sighs turning towards us just as Luke spays me with water from his hands and I splash him back while Calum says something about Michael getting laid. "These are our last moments of friendliness before the prank war do you really want to spend it fighting?" I say warning Luke that if necessary I will pull out the marshmallow shooters. 

"You don't know where they are!" Luke replies as if he could read my mind. "Ashton where are the marshmallow guns?" I ask him he pulls away from Sylvana's kiss. "In the studio," he says before continuing to make out with Vana. I smirk at Luke, batting my eye lashes before dashing off towards the studio.  I run by the pool and reach the studio before realizing I don't have a key. 

I try to block the door with my body but Luke just laughs at me hoisting me over his shoulder in one quick movement.  I scream while Luke grabs a key out of his front pocket. "No, please no!" I whine he unlocks the door then freezes shutting it again. 

"What are you going t-" Before I finish the sentence he's walking towards the pool.  "Oh my god please no!" I scream and he laughs evilly before approaching the edge.  "Any last words?" he asks me in some sort of accent.  "I hate you." I say as he throws me into the pool, water clogs my senses and I decide to start the pranking early.  I stay under the water letting bubbles stop reaching the surface.

I can faintly hear my name and I smile shutting my eyes. I feel a splash beside me and finally break the surface, Luke come up a second later flipping his quiffed hair out of his face he is breathing heavily.  "Oh my god…." he pants. "You're a dick." I giggle and he splashes me, I splash him back. "What the fuck is happening out here?" Natalie calls opening the screen. 

Luke and I look at each other before both swimming towards her but hiding behind the edge so she couldn't see us.  She walks closer calling our names as we count down before jumping up and pulling her into the water with us. 

She screams and Calum come running he takes one look at us all and jumps in. Then Ashton and Sylvana join us so we're all fully clothed in the pool. "We're all going to get sick!" Ashton points out and I shrug. Suddenly we see a hand hit Michaels bedroom window and we all cheer.
