Jughead's POV

I was determined to figure out what was happening in Veronica's life. That was her name, right? Yeah. She seemed so jumpy when her boyfriend came around. I just need to talk to her. At least once. It's ten o'clock PM now. I'll go over there after work tomorrow.

I'm currently texting Betty. I know she likes me, but I don't like her back. She's also with Archie, so why would I date my bestfriends girlfriend? Or if they ever break up ex girlfriend?

Betty

B: Are y ou working tomorrow?

J: Yeah, it's a Wednesday. Why wouldn't I work?

B: Idk. I was just curious.

J: Okay?

B: Well, I'm gonna go to bed. Good-night, Juggie!

J: Good-night

I put my phone down and sighed. Just then the yelling started again. "Oh, my God!" I said to myself. What could one person possibly do to be yelled at like that? And why is he even yelling? Is he a drunk? Is he bored? Does he has anger issues? My mind was filled with questions. It was making me tired.

I woke up to quiet. I got around and walked out of my apartment. I looked over at the room. Just then the door opened. Is was the guy. He saw me looking cause he said. "What are looking at?" I shook my head. "Nothing." I quickly said. "Hey. Aren't you that one dude that was talking to my girl the other day?" He asked. "I don't know." I said. "Was it Veronica?" He asked. "Oh, yeah, it... it was." I said. "Stay away from her." He said. He then looked inside. "I'll be back at nine." He said then shut the door and walked passed me.

I was in middle of working at Pop's and waiting tables when Betty walked in. "Hey, Jug!" She said happily. "Hey, Betts." I said. "How have things been with the girl?" She asked. I sighed. "There's still screaming." I said. "Oh. That's to bad." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I'm thinking on getting off early tonight." I said. "Why?" "Because I'm very busy outside of work." "Oh."

It was about six when I went to pop and asked if I could off a little early. "I can work an extra hour tomorrow to fill it in, I'm just a little busy right now." I told him. "It's fine with me." He said. "Thanks." I said and left. I drove as fast as I could back to the apartment building.

Once I got there I immediately knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I knocked again. "Open the damn door!" I heard a dude yell. I thought he wasn't coming back till nine? The door opened and a small girl stood in front of me. "Yes?" She asked. "I need to talk to you." I said quietly. "Uhm..." she looked back then at me. "Right nows not a good time." She said shakily. I sighed. "Is everything alright?" I quickly asked. "Uh, everything's alright." She said. Just then we heard. "Who is it!?" He yelled. "Uhhm," she stuttered. "Nobody. Just a person." She said. "Tell 'em to leave!" He said. She looked back at me. "You have to go." She said and started to shut the door. I put my foot out to stop it. "No. I don't give up so easily." "Everything is fine, sir." She said once again. "Now if you would please remove your foot." I sighed and moved my foot. She shut the door.

I walked back to my apartment. I walked into the room and hit my hand on the wall as hard as I could. It hurt a bit, but I didn't care. I know there's something. Why won't she speak up? Oh wait. I already know. She's scared. She's worried. "She thinks she's in love." I said to myself. I felt so bad for her. I want to help I just don't know how. Could I get her to confess? Can I talk to her alone? I need to do that. Get her alone and talk to her. I'll try tomorrow. It's to late for that.
