I took that picture of Billie hehe

"I'm nervous," you mutter, fixing your red dress as you look in the mirror. You touch up your hair and smooth out your outfit, trying to look picture perfect. You were about to have a Christmas dinner with Billie's family, and you were scared to say the least.

"You look perfect, baby." Billie says, coming up behind you and wrapping her arms around your waist, pulling you in. She places a gentle kiss on your neck as you look over your makeup for the hundredth time.
You take a big breath, trying to calm your racing heart and shaky hands. You've met her parents and brother before, but this was the real deal of meeting the love of your life's family.
"I just want everything to be perfect," you mumble, looking down at your shoes as the glittery diamonds reflect in the mirror. You couldn't help but think the worst. What if they hate you and don't approve of you dating their daughter? The thought shatters your heart and you couldn't breathe.

"In and out, baby." Billie says, turning you around so you face her instead of your anxiety risen reflection in the mirror. You copy her breathing movements and you are soon breathing normally again. For now, that is. "It's time to go, come on." Billie says, leading you out of the room and into the garage. You both get in and Billie starts the car, opening up the garage and backing out of the driveway. As you pass buildings and city lights, you watch multiple people stroll down the streets. Some people walk hand in hand and others with screaming children with red noses as the chilly winter air bites their face. You think about when you and Billie will get married, or even have children. You smile wide, your heart fluttering as you dream about your beautiful girlfriend cradling a baby in her arms.

"Stop dreaming about us having sex, we're here." Billie says, a smirk present on her face. Your cheeks turn bright red as you look down and step out of the car. You and Billie walk hand in hand up to the small house she grew up in. You feel your heart go crazy as the butterflies in your stomach arrive as each step brings you closer to the door.
Billie walks in, not bothering to knock and screams "WE ARE HERE!!!!!" at the top of her lungs. You see her mom, Maggie, walk out in a nice dress with her hair done up and light makeup applied to her naturally beautiful face.
"Everyone else is still getting ready but they should be done soon." She says, smiling at you and billie. She then walks up and gives you a hug, engulfing you in loving arms. Your heart arms as you hug her back, a smile on your face.

"Let's go!" Billie says, seeing everyone else come out and greet you. You hold the smile on your face, your hand stretched out to greet the rest of Billie's family. You walk out holding Billie's hand and get in the car, your nerves calming now. You didn't feel as shaky as you did before, and for that, you were thankful.

Once you arrive at the restaurant, you head in, not having to wait for a table as Maggie had already called and reserved one. You are led to a huge round table and you sit next to Billie as the waiter takes drink orders.

The atmosphere isn't awkward at all. It's as if a big family came and ate dinner together, and that's exactly what it is. Talking, laughing, sharing stories and jokes as the day came to an end. Maggie kept telling embarrassing stories of Billie as a baby and you couldn't help but "awe" at her cuteness.

Billie puts her hand on your thigh from under the table, occasionally sneaking her hand up as you try to focus in on the conversation taking place at the table. Your head was close to spinning as her thumb rubbed your inner skin.

"We just want to make sure Billie is in good hands." Maggie says, her expression suddenly turning into a concerned mother. You snap out of your trance and nod, clearing your throat as you begin to speak. "Yes ma'am. Your daughter is in good hands. I want nothing more than to take care of her and love her with all I have."

Maggie and Patrick smile, liking your response. Finneas, Billie's brother, gives you an approving nod. You give him a nod back, copying his actions. "Don't steal my girl," Billie jokes, noticing the joking attitude Finneas and I had. He laughs, his perfect teeth almost sparkling under the restaurant lighting. Why was this whole family perfect?

Billie interrupts your thoughts by squeezing your thigh as a silent praise, causing you to squirm in your chair as her right grip never loosens.

"We'll be right back," Billie says, backing her chair out and grabbing your hand. "We have some business to do." She mumbles, leading you to the restroom as you leave the table. Her family sits there, knowing it'd be awhile until you came back.

You hear Finneas sigh loudly. "Well, dessert anyone?"
