"Now you know. That's your future. Unless you decide on another course." I hear Alice whisper, my grip on Nicola tight, just as Carlisle holds me tightly. I watch Aro's eyes flicker to me, and he looks as though he pales even more.

"We cannot alter our course. The children still poses a grave threat." Caius says, a growl in his tone.

"But what if you were sure she could remain concealed from the human world? Could we leave in peace?" Edward asks.

"Of course. But that cannot be known." Caius growled, getting fed up with not being able to attack.

"Actually, it can." Edward says with a smirk. We see two more witnesses, walking in from the woods, they come and stand next to Alice. Alice turns and looks to me with a smile, in her hand a black journal, with Karlene Mikaelson written in cursive on the front. In that instant I remember the pair smiling at seeing Nahuel and Huilen. My dearest friends.

"She found my journal," I whispered. "Nik. He saved my journals from all our travels." I whispered to the others. "It has been so long since I last saw those two," I stated.

"I've been searching for witnesses of my own among the Ticuna tribes of Brazil." Alice said with a soft smile to the pair.

Caius obviously annoyed growls with disdain. "We have enough witnesses."

"Let him speak, brother." Aro silences them all, his eyes shifting to me and then back to the man.

"I am half human, half vampire. Like the child. A vampire seduced my mother, who died giving birth to me. My aunt Huilen raised me as her own. I made her immortal." Nahuel speaks, strong and proud.

Bebe quickly seeing this walks forward. "How old are you?" She asked, her face wondering.

"A hundred and fifty years." Nahuel answered.

"At what age did you reach maturity?" Aro questioned.

"I became full-grown seven years after my birth. I have not changed since then." Nahuel stated.

"And your diet?" Aro quizzed.

"Blood, human food. I can survive on either. Just as Nicola and Karlene can," Nahuel stated.

"These children are much like us." Marcus muttered, intrigued by them.

"Regardless, the Cullen's have been consorting with werewolves. Our natural enemies." Caius said, his tone wanting to fight us all.

Aro turns and addresses his army. "Dear ones, there is no danger here. We will not fight today." Some of the Volturi look disappointed, including Caius and Jane, but they all listen to Aro and quickly leave, then before leaving Aro looks at myself, Alice and Bella. "Such a prize." I hear him mutter. Aro then turns and leaves.

"We have them on the run. Now is the time to attack." Vladimir stated a grin spreading across his face.

"Not today." Carlisle stated, as he holds myself tightly, Nicola and Seth coming over to us.

"You're all fools! The Volturi might be gone. But they will never forgive what happened here." Stefan shouted in anger, but we all do not listen, so Vladimir and Stefan leave in anger and everyone else rejoices in the fact that they did not have to fight the Volturi.

"Let's go home," I spoke, everyone cheered and walked away headed back to our home. I watched everyone in front of me talking happily, Nicola, Seth, Benjamin and Kol getting along as they spoke of certain pranks. Bebe, Edward and Renesmee joyfully speaking with Nahuel and Huilen. Everyone was happy we had won.

"I love you my heart," Carlisle whispered. His eyes shinning happily.

"I love you too, my world," I whispered back kissing his lips. Back at the Cullen's house, the witnesses are saying goodbye and leaving, Edward and Jacob watch Renesmee as she speaks to Zafrina and Senna. Both Nicola and I stood watching the other fondly. Nicola having made Benjamin promise to come visit her and hang out with.

"Are we gonna be okay mum?" Nicola asked me, as she watched me staring off into the distance. I smiled softly seeing no sun poking through the clouds, and thankfully no rain was pouring down.

"Oh most definitely," I giggled.

I mean it's not every day that you live forever, especially with people you love are here with you or even not here with you. I looked up smiling softly as Nicola runs down to Renesmee, I close my eyes as a gentle breeze rustles my hair.

'Soon.'

"They say the passage of time will heal all wounds, but the greater the loss, the deeper the cut and the more difficult the process to become whole again. The pain may fade, but scars serve as a reminder of our suffering and make the bearer all the more resolved never to be wounded again. So as time moves along we get lost in distractions, act out in frustration, react with aggression, give in to anger, and all the while we plot and plan as we wait to grow stronger, and before we know it, the time passes. We are healed. Ready to begin anew."
