Chapter Eight

The next day, Nicola rest peacefully in my arms, her eyes sparkling, I feel my lips turn upwards into a soft smile. "She's going to grow quickly," I frown hearing the voice. I turn and see my mother standing next to me everyone in the family frozen.

"Mother?" I questioned not knowing how to respond to her.

"Don't worry, Nik and I reconciled, I wanted to come see you and your daughter, and to tell you now that she's here, she's going to grow quickly, it has something to do with her imprint being to old," mother chuckles and I smile.

"Are you a solid body mother?" I questions and she nods. "Why don't you hold you granddaughter, you never got to do it with Hope," I whispered, and she smiles before taking her. I watch my mother smile softly at my little Nicola. "Mother? Do I need to worry about the fast growing?" I asked.

"No you have no need to worry, the boy Seth, when he reaches 21 and if he continues to shift always, he will be immortal, so will Nicola, she'll stop aging then too," Mother answers and I nod, before mother hands Nicola back to me. Nicola watches my mother and smiles to her. "My time is up Karlene, but know that we are proud, both your father and I," she whispered before disappearing. 

Everyone unfreezes and they all see me smiling in the blank air. "Sorry, mother paid a visit," I answered before swinging my legs off the bed and carrying my little one over to Carlisle, he smiles seeing her eyes. "Unique," I whispered. "Though I am still annoyed with you, but I'll get over it for now," I smirked. Before walking out and over to Bebe.

"Is that my little Nikki?" Bebe questions seeing Nicola.

"Yep." I answer smiling. I carry her over and sit down comfortably. Bebe smiles lovingly at Nicola. "Do you wanna hold her?" I question, and after such a long time, I finally see the giant smile appear on her face. She nods her head enthusiastically, as I laugh passing my little Nicola over to her. I look over seeing Hope run in, followed by Kol, Bec's and Freya. The four of them come to crowd around seeing Nicola. 

"She's so tiny," Freya whispered, her eyes filling up with tears. Bec's was just sobbing. 

"Okay, since you are all here, I want you all to know, that you are Nicola's godparents." I stated. They all smiled but the smell of wet dog started to fill the room. I looked over seeing Jake. The four instantly left, not wanting to be around Jake. 

"Rose, I'm fine, really." Bebe whispered as Rose stood ready to defend, before she nodded and left us. "So, Edward sent you in here to talk to me?"
