In one swift move, Zion Peterson shifted the car gear, veering the navy blue Camaro through the automatic garage door. He parked in the open space, turning off the ignition.
We had reached his family's mansion; a three-story building with white walls decorated lavishly with black-but-intricate designs.
Heavy clouds blotched the stark night sky as a light rain fell over the entire place. It pelted against the roof like pebbles hitting a stone pavement. The surprising weather had us close the camp earlier than expected. But we still had fun.

"Don't you think so, Pancakes?" He stretched an arm over my headrest and leaned an inch closer, sandwiching me between him and the car door. His smile brightened everything around him. "How was the beach?"
