Lunch at the Holiday House

Lili and Cole are married and have two girls, Anne and Lee who are both 5 years old twins.

Cole PoV

It was the time of the year when there were truck loads of people in my house.
From the Riverdale Caste to all of our family and friends.
Everyone was at our house.
I can't say I don't enjoy it, catching up with everyone, so that connections don't break, but I can't even say that it isn't overwhelming.
Lili loves to invite everybody we are close to at our place once in a year, it includes so much planning but the outcome is always good.

I am wearing a plane white shirt with jeans and Lili is wearing a floral blue dress.

The backyard of our holiday house is facing the beach and this is usually where Lili invites everyone every year.

I have my camera in one hand and snapping pictures of everyone.

I snap another pic of just Lili adoring all the little kids.

Somebody patted on my shoulder and I turned around.

It was Lili holding out her phone, showing me a picture of me clicking pictures.

"Thanks I guess?" I said laughing.
" Your welcome" she replied laughing.
" don't you love to keep my photos?" I said.
" love is an understatement. I only want your photos in my camera roll" she replied and I blushed.
" Married for 6 years and I can still make you blush" she said making me chuckle.
" only you can make me blush Lili Reinhart Sprouse" I said and she pecked my cheeks.

" Lili, I need your help" Cami said.
" yeah coming " she replied to her.
" I'll be back" she said and went.

" how you holding up" Dylan came and asked me.
" a little overwhelmed, not gonna lie" I replied.
" Come on" he said.

We both went to sit on the stairs that led to the beach.

" I mean who knew, that one day you and I would be both married and would have kids" I said.
" wait, you thought we wouldn't get married and not have kids" he said. 
" I mean no, but you know we both love our wives so much and they both are perfect" I said.
" and we have wonderful children" He said making me chuckle.
"Daddyyyyy" Lee said, calling me out and she wrapped her hands around my neck from the back.
And so did Melissa with Dylan.
" yes princess?" I asked her.
" mommy is calling you" she said to me.
" moma is calling you as well" Mellissa said to Dylan.
" let's go. Shall we?" I said and they both nodded.
I gave Lee a piggyback ride and so did Dylan to Melissa.

I put Lee down and went to Lili.
" hey you called me?" I asked her and wrapped my hands around her waist sideways.
" oh nothing, just checking where you were" she said.
" I was at the stairs with Dylan. Why?" I said.
" I know you get overwhelmed with so many people, so just checking up on you" She said.
" I'm okay" I replied.
" liar liar pants on fire" she said making me laugh.
" no seriously, I sat with Dylan and it calmed me down a teeny tiny bit" I said.
" come on" she replied.
" where are we going? It's our party?" I said and she intertwined our hands, pulling me.
We both sat down on the stairs and listened to the calming sound of the waves hitting the shore.
" thank you" I said and kissed her temples.
" you don't need to thank me" she said and held my hands. A smile creeping up my face.
She kissed me softly and my whole anxiety just vanished.
" If I have to I can do this for you everyday" she said.
" I love you" I said.
" I love you too" she replied and I tightened my grip around her hand.
" click" a sound came from the back and it was Anne and Lee standing with my camera.
" naughty girls" I said and pulled them both on my lap, as Lili took the camera carefully from their hands.
" we were just taking a photo" Anne said innocently and Lili chuckled.
" yes daddy, we were just taking a photo of you and mommy" Lee said.
" it's a good photo" Lili said seeing the picture.
" they are my children after all" I said and winked.

"click" the same sound came again causing all of us to turn our heads.

Dylan was standing with his phone laughing.
" you guys look cute" he said.
" thank you" Lee and Anne said.
" let's go, everyone is looking for the all four of you" he said and
I put Anne and Lili down.
Lili and I got up and headed towards the party again.
But me heading the party this time was without anxiety.
This lady really knew how to calm me down.

After the whole party was over and everyone was going, I finally felt a little bit at peace.

" bye Uncle Dylan" Lee and Anne said in unison.
" finally everyone is gone" I said.
"Neh" they both replied.
" okay then" I said chuckling.
" did you guys have a good day?" I asked them.
" yeah I enjoyed with Melissa" Lee said.
" Max was troubling me a lot daddy" Anne said.
" how?" I asked.
" he was continuously pulling my hair" Anne said with a grumpy face.
" it's okay" I said laughing.
" come here" I said to the both of them.
They both sat on top of me and I massaged their heads.
" can we see the photos?" Lee asked.
" sure" I said and pulled my camera which was kept on the side table.

" daddy, why have you clicked so many pictures of mom" Anne asked.
" because daddy loves to click pictures of mommy" Lili said and came and sat beside me.
" I do" I said chuckling and she kissed me on the cheek.
She was wearing my T-shirt and jogger's now.
" I am tired" she said.
" well I'm sorry I can't cuddle you" I said chuckling.
" huh?" She replied.
" our little girls are also tired" I said and tightened my grip around them.
Lili saw their faces.
" they both are asleep" she said.
" oh" I replied yawning.
" let's put them to bed" Lili said and picked Anne up.
She stood up and I hid Lee's face in the crook of my neck and got up.

We both put them to bed and switched on the fairy lights in their room and closed the door.

" I'm tired" I said.
" me too" she replied yawning.

I went and changed my clothes, just put on some jogger's and no T-shirt.

I laid down on the bed and instantly Lili put her head on my shoulder and wrapped herself around me. And I did the same.
She intertwined her hands with my dirty blonde locks and rubbed my head.
" thank you" I moaned out a little and a slight chuckle escaped her lips.
" good night" she said and kissed my chest.
I kissed her head and fell asleep.
Fell asleep in peace.
It was just strange to me how one person had the ability to change my mood within seconds.
How that person always knew when to say what.
That person who'll give up everything for me.
