Dear Samantha,

I miss you. A lot. We've been through so much, and honestly, I didn't think I'd miss you as much as I do now. You'll always be my bestie that loves pandas, neon green and black, anime, and Hot Cheetos. Oh yes, and I won't forget The Outsiders fanfiction you wrote, as well as all the other ones we came up with.

Looking back, I took those years in school for granted. In the beginning, I never thought you'd be my best friend, but now, I can't seem to find another. It'll always be you. It's funny, because on the outside, we probably seem like total opposites: I'm short, your tall; you're more edgy and loud, and I'm timid and, well, the opposite of edgy (not girlie, however); I'm more of a nerd and you're likely to get on the teacher's nerves (remember 7th grade Life Science?). But in fact, we're more similar than what meets the eye.

Even though we haven't seen each other in a while, I'll always remember the times we spent laughing, talking, hanging out in the cheer closet during lunch, the piggy back rides, the band trip to Disneyland, the alter egos/nicknames we came up with, and the occasional fights about who got the better deal. And not to mention your boy issues. LOL

Most of all, though, I'll always remember what you taught me. Some could call you a bad influence and I being the good influence, but in the end it doesn't matter; you introduced me to manga, fan fiction, made me a better social person (I used to be so antisocial). Your were truly someone I could relate to, and that is probably what I appreciate the most. Bottom line: I miss you, and I hope we meet again someday in this world of high school.

Your friend,

Veronica (aka Japan aka Barbara aka Zebra--did I leave out anything else?)
