"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there!"

I was walking down the street, minding my own business, when someone suddenly crashed into me.

"It's alright, nevermind", I mumbled, picked up the things that fell down and then looked up to him for the first time. To be honest, he was pretty cute. I blushed a bit and smiled shyly.

"I'm Jungkook", he said and smiled.
"I'm Y/N", I replied.
"Again, I'm really sorry. I'd make it up to you, but I'm in a hurry right now. Are you alright?", he asked.

"I'm fine, don't worry", I said and nodded.
"I'll treat you another time, I promise. Maybe a coffee?", he asked and smiled.
"Sure."

"I'm sorry, I gotta go now. See you around", he said and rushed off. I stood there for a few more seconds before I continued walking back home.

The next few weeks, I wasn't able to get him off my mind. He left kind of a memorable impression to me, which I couldn't really explain. But although I really wanted to, I was almost sure that I'd never see him again.

More weeks passed and I lost hope. So I continued living my life normally, concentrating on my university stuff, rather than some random boy I met once for two minutes.

As spring began and it got warmer, I headed to the park more often to study there at the afternoons when I had some spare time. For some reason, it was easier for me to learn outside. To see the library every day got kind of annoying throughout the winter. And all the flowers blossoming each day was just beautiful to look at.

One beautiful spring day, I was sitting at my usual spot in the park, trying to memorize all the formulas I had to when suddenly a group of boys started to play basketball not very far away from me. I tried to concentrate but gave up rather fast. Instead, I just listened to them having fun.

"Jungkook-ah, pass the ball to me!"
I looked up to the boys for the first time since they started playing.
There were 7 of them in total. They all were rather cute so I continued to look at them. After some minutes I realized the boy that bumped into me a few weeks back.

He didn't notice me but I started to stare at him, not seeing anything else around me. I thought I'd never see him again and now he was right beside me, playing basketball with his friends.

I didn't want to talk to him or go up to him, so I sat there and continued studying after a while. It went rather well until I got hit by a ball.

"I'm so sorry! That was an accident! Jin was supposed to catch it but-"
I rubbed my head and looked up. Jungkook was standing in front of me, holding the basketball in his hands.
"Y/N?", he asked confused.

"You remember me?", I asked, probably even more confused than him.
"Of course! I mean... Uhm... Yes, I do. I still owe you a coffee", he said and smiled sheepishly.

"Right, but I think your friends are waiting for you", I said.
"They can play without me, our teams are uneven anyways. Just wait a second", he said, went back to his friends and talked to them.

After a few minutes, he came back to me. "Let's go, grab a coffee", he said and helped me pack my things.
"So, you study at university?", he asked as we made our way to a coffee shop.
I nodded and said: "It's my second year."

"Is it hard? I mean all the studying and school-like stuff?", he asked and looked at me.
"It's alright I guess. I'm not too bad at it", I replied and shrugged.

We continued our Smalltalk until we arrived at the coffee shop. He held the door open for me and waited till I went in. We sat down at a table and ordered our drinks.

"You know, after I bumped into you, I really wanted to ask you for your number", Jungkook suddenly said.
I looked at him confused and asked: "Why?"

"Well, I thought you were cute. But I didn't want you to think that I was some kind of creep. So I didn't ask you and immediately regretted it. I know it sounds weird but I wasn't able to get you off my mind the next few weeks. I was even walking down the same street every day, hoping I'd see you there again."

"But you don't even know me properly", I said and decided not to tell him that I nearly did the same things as he did.
"Right, but I don't think that all this can be a coincidence. I mean, I bumped into you the first time by accident. After that, I tried to find you, but I couldn't. And now we meet again, by accident. This really can't be a coincidence!"

I blushed a bit and looked down at my hands.
"Your drinks. Enjoy", a waiter suddenly said, as she put our drinks down at the table.

I took mine and looked up to Jungkook again, who was watching me all the time.
"Yah, don't be so creepy", I said and laughed.

He just grinned and took a sip of his coffee. We started to chat about random things and soon the atmosphere became less awkward between us. Jungkook was just as nice as I imagined him to be. As I found out, he was quite cheeky but still seemed to be rather sweet and caring.

I continued drinking my coffee when suddenly Jungkook placed his hand on my cheek.

"What are you doing?", I asked blushing but didn't fight him.
"You got some foam right there", he just said and softly wiped away the foam above my lip with his thumb. He smiled and returned his hand from off my cheek again.

"Thanks", I said and smiled, trying to hide how insecure he just made me.
He smiled and said: "I gotta head back now. But I'm gonna bring you home, alright? It's getting dark and the streets at night are dangerous for such a pretty lady like you."

"Stop it!", I immediately said, because I never knew how to deal with compliments. He just laughed and paid for our drinks. I thanked him and we made our way out of the coffee shop.

"Are you cold?", Jungkook suddenly asked after we went along the streets for some minutes in silence.
"Just a bit, but it's alright", I said.
Pretending he didn't hear the second part of my sentence, Jungkook took off his jacket and softly laid it around my shoulders.

"Thank you", I mumbled and looked to the ground. I didn't want him to see that he made me blush another time, it was just embarrassing.

We continued walking until we reached my apartment. I stopped and looked at him.
"Thank you for everything Jungkook, I really enjoyed sending time with you."

"Well, thank you for spending time with me. I hope we get to hang out more often from now on, you're really a fun person to talk to", Jungkook said and smiled.
"I hope so too", I said.

"Y/N, would you give me your number now? So maybe the next time we meet won't be in a few weeks, maybe longer, by accident", he asked and looked at me.
I nodded and he happily gave me his phone. I typed in my number and he saved it.

"Text me when you get home, so I know that you're alright. The streets at night are dangerous for such a handsome boy like you", I teased him by quoting what he said earlier.

"I will", he grinned. "Goodnight Y/N."

"Goodnight Jungkook", I smiled and we went separate ways. He headed back home while I was walking into my apartment.

I sat down on the sofa as soon as I got in, realizing I still had his jacket. I smiled and was glad that now we had a reason to meet up again, sooner than I thought.
