Ch. 19 Oh Brother

Rachel POV
Everyone goes and hugs Brad. They are so happy to see him.
I can relate to those times. My dad was in the service too. He would be away for almost an entire year. And he would make it special when he would come home. He was finished in the service by the time I was 9.

Brad: Oh I've missed you guys.
Walter: We've misses you.
Brad: I have great news.
Hailey: What?
Brad: I'm back for good.
Danny: For real?
Brad: Yep. My services have been complete.
Gloria: Oh this is the best news.

We all sat down in the dining room and we all began to eat. I was siting next to Danny. Brad was looking at me up and down. I felt what Danny was talking about.

Brad: Umm, are you gonna introduce us?
Danny: Oh bro, this is my girlfriend Rachel. Rachel this is my big brother Brad.
Rachel: Hello.
Brad: Damn.

And there it is.

Brad: Please to meet you Rachel. Wow you are so hot.
Gloria: Now Brad, don't flirt with your brother's girlfriend.
Brad: What? I was complimenting the woman.
Rachel: I appreciate it—
Brad: See?
Rachel: But I'm with your brother and he has already told me about your ways. And don't think you can get me.

Danny POV
I felt proud. Man I love this woman. She left him speechless because I've already warned her about Brad.

Hailey: Cat got your tongue?

I tired to hold my laugh in.

Brad: How did you two get together?
Rachel: We met through my brother because Danny is his fitness trainer.
Brad: So it was like that?
Rachel: Yeah. What else did you think?

Brad POV
I want to see if she really loves my brother, but damn this woman is fine.

Brad: Okay, have you two slept together?
Walter: Brad?!
Brad: What? I'm just asking a question.

Rachel POV
I think I know what game he's playing. The player is about to get played.

Rachel: It's okay. To answer your question yes we have. Three times and they were amazing. And just so you know I love Danny with all my heart. He has helped me to learn to love again. And don't think that your "flirting ways" is gonna make me fall for you because it's not gonna work.

What did I just do?

Gloria: Danny, marry this girl.

We both laughed.

Danny: Mom, we need more time before we do that.
Walter: I agree with your mother.
Danny: Guys come on.

The rest of the evening went well. Danny's parents and sister really liked me. But Brad on the other hand was getting on everyone's nerves. Especially mine. He kept asking questions about me and Danny.
After dinner, the boys go in the living room while I go to the kitchen with Mrs. Phillips and Hailey.

Rachel: Dinner was great.
Gloria: It was.
Hailey: Until Brad wouldn't shut up about you and Danny.
Rachel: Don't remind me.

Then, I remembered what I wanted to ask Hailey.

Rachel: Hailey, Danny tells me that you are a model.
Hailey: I am.
Rachel: Do you know of another model named Bethanie Casey?
Hailey: Yeah. She is my inspiration. I've seen her once when we both modeled in London. Why?
Rachel: She's my best friend.
Hailey: Really?
Rachel: Yeah. She moved here to LA for good. She's living with me till she finds her own place.
Hailey: Ooooo. I wish I could meet her.
Rachel: I can arrange that.
Hailey: What? I can meet her?
Rachel: Yep. I can give you her number. Just tell her that you know me.

I give her Bethanie's number. She was so excited.

Hailey: Thank you so much. I'm gonna go talk to her now.

She runs upstairs to talk to her.

Gloria: That was very kind of you.
Rachel: It's in my blood. I'm always kind and generous to those who are the same way with me.
Gloria: I see why Danny loves you. You are an amazing person.
Rachel: Thank you.

I couldn't help but smile.

Rachel: Can you tell me where the bathroom is at?
Gloria: Oh its pass the dining room, down the hall to the right.
Rachel: Thanks.

I go use the bathroom. Once I was finished, I was walking my way back to the kitchen and Brad stops me.

Rachel: Ugh. May I help you?
Brad: Why are like this to me?
Rachel: Like what?
Brad: Like treating me like shit. You don't even know me.
Rachel: Oh Danny told me everything. You flirt way too much. And you asked way too many personal questions about me and Danny.
Brad: Oh come on now.

He comes closer to me. I push him away from me.

Rachel: Nope. Don't you dare. Don't think your ways is gonna make me leave your brother. I love him and he loves me. So do yourself a favor give up your playboyish hoe ways and get yourself your own girl.

I walk away from him.
Soon Danny and I leave for him to take me home.

Danny POV
Rachel seems a bit quiet. I grab her hand and hold it. And she smiles at me.

Danny: Are you okay?
Rachel: Yeah. I'm good.

I know she is lying.

Danny: I know you are lying babe.
Rachel: Okay, I'm not fully okay.
Danny: What's wrong?
Rachel: It's your brother.

I knew it.
Here's the deal, Brad has always been a big flirt. When I was in high school, Brad would manage to be able to still any girl that I was interested in.

Danny: What did he do?
Rachel: He tried to come on to me, but I shut him down.

That's my girl.

Rachel:But overall I have to say that I enjoyed your family.
Danny: I'm glad you did.
Rachel: They seemed to like me.
Danny: Well of course, you are amazing.

We both laughed. I'm glad to see her smiling that makes me happy. I love Rachel so much. This woman is everything to me.
